Okay...so I had a weird dream last night. Well, I was gonna go clamming in the morning, but it was too foggy. I've been hanging out in Maine until the blueberry season's over (hasn't quite started yet, but it will. It will.) but anywho...
The first one was just at my old high school and one of my friends was chasing me around with a stick and trying to hit me with it. Then I woke up at 5:30, and since the tide went out at 6:45, I decided to wait...
Then I fell asleep, and I was at Mae's house. It looked dark inside, but it was JUST getting dark outside. My grandma was in the dining room with Mae, and everyone else was in the living room. Out back, there was this big lighthouse replica sitting right on the edge of the cliff, next to a big row of lobster traps, which is weird, 'cause Travis isn't a fisherman anymore...anyway, one of those traps was the one with my baby birds in it. There was also a big hay pile in front of the back door and the lighthouse. I was in the basement, putting together a computer, when Mae called me. So I went upstairs, and she didn't say anything, so I went outside. One of the traps was on fire, so I took the hose and dragged it to it. It didn't reach that far, so I put my thumb over the end and let it spray the trap. There was like...a guy in it, just his face, and he was talking to me, saying that putting out the fire was good, or something...so the fire was out, and I reeled the hose back in and then I saw Chicky (the horse) sitting on the hay in front of the lighthouse, then she jumped up on top of it. (?) I turned to back inside and Rowdy was sitting on the hay in front of the back door. Then the trap with the babies in it caught fire, and I dragged the hose as far as possible, and I saw the mother robin fly away, and I could hear the babies crying, and finally, I put the fire out, and I decided if the babies were still there, I'd take them inside where they were safe. I went over to it, kind of slowly, because I didn't want to see them if they had been burned, and I looked in and they were gone. The nest was there, and it looked EXACTLY like the real one, like a pinwheel, and a little charred, but other than that it was fine. I started to...howl, almost, I just went "NOOOOOOOOO!" and Mae came out and we pulled the hose out around the garage ('cause NOW it could reach...) and we just wet everything over the cliff and around it so it couldn't catch fire, and Mae kept trying to make me feel better, then I woke up, and it was 7, and I started swearing at the alarm clock for not waking me up (even though I didn't set it to) and went upstairs, but it was too foggy to go anyway.
So I've been a little 'eh' today. _________________
