Ok, so the night before last I had this dream that my Mom, my sister and I (I don't know where my dad was...) were driving along in this sort of hilly basin-y area. All lush green grass with roads going up and down it in a circular sort of way. We started to drive up the hill but the car (once we got out I saw it was a truck) decided to go downhill. I was really scared, hyperventilating and telling my Mom to try and make the truck go back uphill. My mother was strangely calm. I don't think my mom even tried to change the trucks direction. She said something vaugly reassuring. My sister didn't speak at all. She didn't speak at all during my dream, but I have this sense that she was there. It's odd she didn't speak, she's usually very talkative. We drove down into this basin-y thing. Tree roots or branches were in circles spiraling in all over it and the sky was clear and nondescript. I don't think I ever saw it directly in the dream. At some point I made some hysterical comment about it being our own perverted Ford Anglia (go read Harry Potter if you don't get the reference). Somehow we were out of the car and I saw what it looked like. A smallish truck with a dumptruck like back end painted a dirty light blue with green paint splashes like pants you wear when you paint or something. The truck started chasing me. It wasn't roaring angrilly and the headlights weren't on, but it was chasing me. I jumped over a bunch of tree roots/branches and ran away, screaming to my mother that the truck was after me. My mother said I was being silly. She sat by a tree root and sounded a bit exhasparated. She didn't try to help; I think because from her point of view I wasn't in danger. I ran around and the car chased me for a while, then somehow we "got out" my sister's pony to start lunging her, and somehow the truck got put away or disappeared. (By got out I mean she was suddenly there, like my mom had taken her from her pocket). We were lunging my little sister's black Welsh pony (with no lunge line) and I was hysterically telling my mother that the pony was going to come after me too. I kind of feel like I was chased by the pony, but it wasn't like being chased by the car, I didn;t run as much or as far and it didn't have the same feeling. I'll never know if the pony really was after me, because the phone rang and I woke up. The strange thing is that though I was being hysterical, when I was running I didn't get tired or short of breath and I didn't really feel the desparation that I think I would feel in real life if a car came barreling towards me. The setting was really calm. Like a dream world. Bright grass, clear no-color sky, tree roots that remind me now of the whomping willow in the second Harry Potter computer game except for the fact that they didn't thrash about. It was real, like the grass was real grass and the tree roots/branches real roots or branches, but it was also very surreal.

So, what do you think of that? I was very surprised by that, because I almost NEVER remember my dreams. I can count all the dreams I can remember on one hand. Seriously.

It sounds like you're running from your fears in reality, only they're really not something to worry about. Like high school.

Mine was about a movie called 'If You Eat Red Apples You Die'. And then I went to see it, and the credits had apples slices in them (like circly slices) and then an arrow went through the middle, like a bullseye, and then it turned out that it had hit a girl in the head, and she just pulled it out, like "oh my God, an arrow just went through my head", and then the girls in front of me were eating red apples, and then all their skin and such fell off and they had pearly white skulls and were looking at me and laughing evilly and then I left, and since I was eating a red apple ('cause you know, why not? It's a movie about them.) and I chucked it out and then somehow I snapped back to the theater and those stupid girls were there again, and laughing at me, and then I woke up. Since I was outside, I was like "OMG MY CEILING!" then I remembered where I was. xD
