((I got board of waiting, so...))

Shade walked along the corridor of the school, avoiding the gaze of the other students. The books in his bag banged against his leg, as he quickly sidestepped to avoid walking into someone. His hands were covered in scratches and marks, and he hid them with black, fingerless gloves that he wore all of the time. Reaching the lockers, he opened his with his small silver key, and pulled out the books he needed for the next few lessons. Closing it again, he walked towards the maths classroom, again avoiding everyone.

((Don't blame ya))

Hope pushed her locker door shut. Damn, her locker always got stuck and never shut properly. She put down her books on the floor and resumed to her locker. It was shut. Funny she could have sworn it didn't close properly. She looked at it for a while, then shrugged. She wasn't about to argue with something that had finally gone her way for a change.
She picked up the books that she had layed by her feet. They consisted of some chemistry textbooks and workbooks she had been studying from lately and a science paper she had to hand in today and a small copied disk that had some episodes of C.S.I on. She loved to study the series and jot down those little notes that the books couldn't teach her.
She walked past the groups of people in the corridor. Friends hugging. Talking. Laughing. Man, she would kill for that.
Everyone seemed to belong. They all had a little group, with little friends, boyfriends and parties. While she was here, outcast of civilisation. Reject.

Patience sat on the bench in the courtyard clicking through the song lists on her MP3 player and waiting till the bell rang to tell her class had begun. She crossed her legs and leaned back against the bench moving her foot to the beat, she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger then popped bubblegum into her mouth. The other students around her passed her by without even a glance or an acknowledgment that she was there. Patience was invisible to everyone and always had been she wasn't popular she wasn't what everyone was faking to be she was herself and because of it she was a loner. She sighed and switched to another song now using her excuse of chewing gum to lip sync along with the music without looking like she was talking to herself.

Kyr flicked the flame on his cigarette lighter slowly as he stared into the distance. He should be in class...but since when did that matter?
The flame of the ligter was suddenly caught by the breeze and set fire to the edge of his shirt. He swore standing up and waved it around in an attempt to put it out. It was after a few seconds that he realised he didn't feel any pain. The fire was creeping up his arm but all he could feel was a mild warmth. He pulled a bottle of water from his bag and poured it over his arm so the flame went out. Then he pulled up his sleeve. The skin where the shirt had been burning was slightly red, but the mark was already beginning to fade.
"What on Earth..."

OOC: I'm going to be different, lonersville isn't my thing Razz

IC: Edgar was chatting away, he was surrounded by his friends, he had worked hard to make them but he often just wanted to be alone. Finally, his conversation ended and he contented himself by gently moving a few of his fingers towards a bit paper aeroplane lying on the lunch banch. IT MOVED! The route of the aeroplane was swirling, it swooped and loop-the-looped and sup towrds him, it hit him on the nose. Furious, he grabbed the plane, cruched it up and threw it away. He was angry at his humiliation and had forgotten his amazing experience with manipulating the plane.

Shade walked to the classroom, and stopped near the door. He could hear the voice of the substitute maths teacher, who he hated with a vengance. Checking around to see if anyone was watching, he darted into a corridor, and hurried away, pretending to know where he was going. The second bell rang, and he hurried back to his locker, where he knew none of the teachers would be in lesson time.
Stuffing the books back into his locker, he walked outside into the courtyard. Edgar was walking away from his huge group of friends, heading in his direction. Shade grew nervous as he approached. Most of the popular boys hated him, for his wierd ways, and the way he watched people. He felt his hands begin to burn with the icy magic that he held within him.

((oooh cool. mind if i cut in?))

Roxanne stretched her arms out toward the glass window pane. Looking through her red hair, she could see Edgar walking away from his friends. She had seen what he did with the aeroplane at lunch, or maybe she hadn't.
'im sure i saw that paper aeroplane just get up and fly at him! By itself too, no-one threw that'
"Staring at Edgar AGAIN Rox?"
Startled out of her reviree Roxan turned around and stared straight into Kyr's eyes. He had a habit of startling her.
"no!" she scoffed.
Kyr raised his eyebrow's.
"NO, i wasnt i swear. OH! Kyr, what's that mark on your arm?" Roxanne lamented, picking his arm up to inspect the faded red mark. Secretly happy for the change of topic

He was always doing the wrong thing. Ever since they were kids. Waging, he went through a few fazes. He used to drag her along with him, untill he got her hurt one time. Roxan let off an involentary shudder, resisting the thoughts that began to arise in her head. She did'nt want to see that again. It was the only thing that she held against Kyr. She found it hard to hold things against him, seeing as they grew up practically next door to eachother. But this one thing she would never ever forget.

Kyr quickly pulled his sleeve down to hide the red mark. "Its nothing," he said with a smile. "Fancy going down into town with me?"
"We should be in class..."
"They won't miss us." He stood up and walked out of the classroom just before the teacher entered.
"Where are you two going?"
"We were sent to see Mrs Fisher about an extra credit assignment we're doing."
"Well hurry up." He went past them into the classroom.
"Come on,Rox," said Kyr to Roxanne.

Edgar kept going, he hoped with all his might that no-one had seen the aeroplane hitting him, it would ruin his reputation, not that it really mattered much. Edgar sighed, he had spent years actually getting friends and now he didn't care, this was what he usually thought about these days. As Edgar walked past a block of lockers he spotted Shade. Poor Shade, he thought. My "friends" are just bullies, and Shade's usually their target. The boys Edgar was walking with saw Shade too and started mocking him, insulting everything about him and the people he knew.
"Stop," mumbled Edgar, but to no avail, "Stop! STOP IT!!" The boys fell silent this time and looked at Edgar, "Leave him alone, "Edgar finished.

(Is Shade a him? Because I was worried I had that wrong)

(Yep. Shade's a guy. 16 years old, near 17. controls icy fire.)

Shade Shrank against the lockers as the boys turned on him, yelling all sorts of abuse. He saw people walk past, laughing at the onslaught, before he had to concentrate fully on stopping ice flames appearing in his hands. Suddenly he heard someone yelling "STOP IT"
Shade was amazed to see it was Edgar stopping them, and his concentration slipped. He yelped in pain as the flames slipped out onto the palm of his hand, burning him with icy cold. The boys looked at him, as if he were an exebition in a zoo. Luckely they hadnt seen the flames, but he wasnt so sure about Edgar. "Sorry" He muttered, trying to slip by them all, and get away to somewhere safe. One of the group grabbed him by the arm as he went past, and shoved him back against the lockers. "Your not going anywhere until you tell us what that was all about" he growled menicingly at Shade.

((Did you hit me with icy fire? I'll act as if you didn't and if you did I can edit it.))

Edgar blinked several times, did Shade just make fire?... out of thin air? And suddenly a memory came rushing back to him of his experience with the paper aeroplane. Edgar's "friends" were shoving Shade against the lockers, roughly interrogating him. This time Edgar had no power to stop him, or so he thought. His blood boiled, he had worked hard to earn a certain acqaintanceship with these people and here they were causing pain to a person who was really like him. Edgar was only a couple of years older than Shade, how different could they be? Edgar's eyes blurred into focus and he cracked his knuckles. Stretching an arm out as far as he could, Edgar pushed with his mind, extending his bodily energy beyond his being. The boys surrounding Shade lost their balance.

((no. he burnt his hand. he has little control))
Shade stared as the boys infront of him as they lost their balance, and then at Edgar, who seemed to be controlling it. 'Are there more like me?' shade wondered, having never met any of teh other sorcerers. He was considered to dangerous, as he had little control of his power.
when there was a gap, he flead through it, and outside. He headed for the school gates, intending to hear home, when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned to see Edgar following.

((I wonder if we're to discover about how touse our powers on our own or if a teacher or senior pupil would help. I assume with the ranks we were told about when making character profiles that we are going to form some kind of army... that'd be cool Cool ))

Edgar kept on Shade's tail, he was well aware that those boys were probably no longer his friends. Making sure that he had done what he thought he had, he saw a pupil walking with sheets of paper stacked up, Edgar flicked a finger, sending a pulse of wind over to the girl and sending the sheets flying, he had no care for her at the moment, he was fuming at the moment. Finally catching up with Shade he groped for a shoulder, finding it he tugged backwards.

"What was that about!?"

Kyr heard noises and looked around to see two students running towards them. A loner, like him, and one of the popular kids. Edgar. He grabbed the top of the fence and tried to pull himself up.
Lift you stupid body. And slowly, it did just that and he rose over the fence, landing on the other side.

Hope sat on the closed toilet seat. Her music player jammed into her ears and her shoulder bag on her lap. She heard the bell ring. SHe had to get out of here sooner or later, rather go out voluntarily then have to be dragged out by a cleaner again!

She stood up, straightening her clothes and pulled the chain to make it look like she had just been to the toilet. As she emerged a girl raised her eyebrows at her and began to wash her hands.
Hope took a deep breath, pretending to be calm though her stmoache was in knots. She hated people staring at her.
In her hurry to escape the bathroom Hope stalked quickly away and caught her foot in the handle of the others girl's bag. A pain shot up her knee as she fell to the floor. Cursing quietly she dragged herself to her feet not wanting everyone to see her tears.

Finally she got out of the toilets and found a classroom to herself where she could look at her throbbing knee. She lifted up the seams of her slim jeans and inspected the red graze and bruise. Tutting to herself she reached for the tissue in her jacket pocket and placed it over the graze.
No pain, what a relief. Hope sat for a moment. Savouring the silence.
She lifted the tissue to switch sides.
There was no graze.
No bruise.
Nothing.
