Quotes people, are awsomn.
heres one. - or a few more...
"you should always beleive what you read in the newspapers, as this makes them more interesting" - Rose Macaulay
"Happy people are failures because they are on such good terms with themselves that they don't give a damn" - Agatha Christie
"women used to have time to make mince pies and had to fake orgasms. Now we can manage the orgasms, but we have to fake the mince pies. And they call this progress" - Allison Pearson
Hut hut - so true... (above)
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerfull beyond measure" - Marianne Williamson
Now... You try. Go on... you know you want to people... Dig up some quotes!! _________________ I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy
Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall,
And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty, city,
Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all.
Extract from Clancy and the Overflow, by A.B. Patterson.
Ironically he never actually went outside of a city his entire life, let alone Droving. phht. Henry Lawson was much more acurate, he didnt romanticise the Aussie bush. |

Here's one I wrote in my HSC year - 2003.
"I want to take a photograph of this moment, but the whisperings of my heart cannot be etched into something material" |

heehee, I have sooooo many things I could quote.
from Charles de Lint's Riddle of the Wren: A high-pitched screeing filled the air. Minda spun, the blade held before her with all the finesse of a floor mop.
from the movie the Return of the King
Legolas: A diversion!
[Jackie: THANK YOU for translating English into English! *eye roll*]
No magical alarm sounded, though I did hit my head five times on a pebble. Once each on five different pebbles. Not the same pebble five times. Just want to make that clear. --The Amulet of Samarkand Jonathan Stroud
"Decidedly, it is a gentleman riding a buttercup. Unless, perhaps, it is a cheese with legs." --The Three Musketeers Alexandre Dumas
"Don't you trust me?"
"With my life. But in smaller matters I have occasional reservations." --The Grand Tour Patricia Wrede & Caroline Stevermer
There was once a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it. His parents called him Eustace Clarence and his teachers called him Scrubb. I can't tell you what his friends called him, because he had none.--The Voyage of the Dawn Treader C.S. Lewis
Professor: The weeping girl?
Susan: Yes, sir, she's upset.
Prof: Hence the weeping.
Peter: We can handle it
Prof: Oh I can see that.
--The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (movie)
Prof: Well if your sister isn't mad and isn't lying than LOGICALLY we must assume that she is telling the truth. --The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (movie)
Inigo: Do you by any chance have six fingers on your left hand?
Wesley: Do you always begin conversations this way?
--The Princess Bride
"Are you a man of good character where women are concerned?"
"Have you ever met a man of good character where women are concerned?" --My Fair Lady
And lots more, but there you go.

Dark Waltz, i want to watch the Princess Bride now...
The other day i just came out and quoted (all i said was hello...) Some more of that legendary movie...
"Hello! My name is Inigo Mentoya, you killed my father, prepare to die."
However, i cannot find my copy right now and am having a semi-mental blank...
Little crazy balding guy: ...Inconcievable!
Inigo: That word... I do not think it means what you think it means...
Little crazy balding guy: Inconcievable!
**EDIT** Little crazy balding guy is Vizini!!! Thank you DarkWaltz!!! _________________

You can hope for something to happen, you can wish for something to happen, but if you do it, it shall already be done.
There are certain things we were born to choose, born to change, and born to accept, all those combined are what we were meant to do - live.
Don't be afraid to cry, because every tear is like the raindrop that feeds the soul.
and blah blah blah blah blah
I made those- so, if you were wondering why they suck so badly...blame me. _________________ ~Shaye

I love them, they are sweet!
The first two are inspirational, and the third one is comforting in hard times!!!
Great!

"Don't be afraid when life pushes you into unexpected situations; sometimes we need a nudge to walk through the door an experience the beauty of the world."
"Waking life makes us realise what we desire, and dreams allow us to hold onto them. Treasure those moments that allow us to pass from one to the other, for those are the times that we get the best of both worlds and help to soften the pain of loss."
By me, lame i know... _________________

I'm sorry!!!! :'( :'( I just love all those quotes! *hides in a hole* I didn't get them all from there though! :*
Haha, thanks jenv! I actually didn't write it (which is why I said who wrote it at the bottom. But here's another for you. http://www.dance.net/u/slipjig91. The person's avatar.)
Here's something my sister reminded me of having said to her a while ago: "Patience is a virtue you obviously don't have!" It amuses her...
The book the Princess Bride I think is better than the movie. The movie actually stayed really close to the book! But the discription of Vizini's long speech and all of the funny authors notes make it better.
