I watched a ton of movies recently...

Iron Man (I saw it on Sunday) 9/10 of sheer scale of awesome

Penelope 8.5/10 for cuteness and James McAvoy

From Here to Eternity - - don't know how to rate it. It was very good but very sad because nobody ended up together.

Snow White: A Tale of Terror - 8.5/10 - 9/10 for the beginning up until the stepmother goes evil and all the scenes with Lilli, 7/10 for crazy witchery.

I've never actually seen Indiana Jones. D: I lived in the days where you never actually /bought/ a VCR, you just rented one. Well, we did eventually get a VCR in about...1989...but I still never saw Indiana Jones. I'd love to, though.

The Benchwarmers
6/10

This movie has a serious identity crisis. It starts out as one of those movies boys with sophomoric senses of humor would like, and then it starts to go into a movie with a moral. But because you're still laughing at all the jokes beforehand, you don't really realize what the moral is. I suppose it's something like 'be nice', but lame movies have lame morals. Unfortunately, it's the only movie Mae owns with Chinese subtitles. I don't understand that. She has plenty of other more sophisticated movies, and the most they have is French or Spanish. D:

About a Boy
10/10
It's that kind of movie that makes you want to hide your head in shame when the characters do something stupid because you're really connected with them. Anywho - Great movie.

Awesome.

Totally my philosophy.

Alien VS. Predator: Requiem

3/10

This is one of those "my dad wanted to watch it, so I got it for him movies" and so we could return it to Netflix I sat him down and made him watch it. It was pretty stupid, too gory, EVERYONE died, the ending was worse than terrible and the acting really wasn't that great. So yeah, it was ridiculous.

Carnasaur 3: Something something I don't remember

5/10

Well...it was a REALLY crappy movie. The acting was terrible, (it was like an army of David Caruso's) and the dinosaurs...what the hell?! They would always show them moving in slow motion to hide the fact that they couldn't actually animate a toy dinosaur very realistically. There was actually one scene where one of the raptors gets shot in the neck, and it reaches it's hands up and presses them against the bullet hole. What?! Dinosaurs don't do that! I mean, yeah, they might claw at that general area...but they don't press on gunshot wounds! They don't even know what guns are! Then at the end, there are only two survivors, and they're sitting there, floating in THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKING OCEAN WHERE ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION BEFORE THEY DIE OF EXAUSTION HAS A SNOWBALLS CHANCE IN HELL, they start laughing their heads off. And what's worse, OUT OF ABOUT FIFTY PEOPLE, THEY'RE THE ONLY TWO SURVIVORS! What the hell are they laughing at?! Although, this is one of those movies that has the 'so bad it's good' factor. I couldn't stop laughing at how stupid the dinosaurs looked. And people didn't die realistically...one guy gets his arm bitten off, and after a second or two of screaming--no bleeding, his arm just comes off nice and clean--he drops dead. He doesn't even cough up blood. -_-' I liked the part where they start shooting all the eggs, though. It's like, "dude. You can HEAR mama t-rex coming from three miles away. /Why/ are you still shooting her eggs?"

Yeah, I may have ruined the ending...but believe me, this isn't a movie you're going to care if the ending was spoiled or not.

Hawkins, it's odd we both managed to watch a ridiculous movie. I bet Carnasaur was better than AVP 2.

The Golden Compass

4/10

I'm going to get so much flame for this but I just didn't like The Golden Compass in any way. I tried reading the book a while back and I just thought it was dumb. The first disturbed me a bit, with the uncle/dad (whatever he is) being so violent with Lyra. I thought 'hmmm' maybe I'll try the movie, maybe it will help me like the book.

Well, that didn't work.

I just didn't get it.

Now hopefully I don't get yelled at for not liking it, we all have our own opinions right? Mine is that I don't like The Golden Compass, which is weird cause EVERYONE here seems too. Razz

The movie got a higher score than I would have given it due to the great acting, the awesome CGI, and the vivid backgrounds in every new place they went.

It's okay. I've never read the book or watched the movie.

But you guys want to know the worst movie ever created?

Green Slime.

Seriously, like -89/10

Terrible acting, terrible picture quality, and terrible plot - no - terrible plotS. In the middle of the movie they just switched plots because they got bored with the first one.

However, not taking it seriously and laughing at how redonkulus it is: 5/10.
