Rule
Write I before E
Except after C
Or when it sounds like an A
As in "neighbor" and "weigh"
i before e: relief, believe, niece, chief, sieve, frieze, field, yield
e before i: receive, deceive, ceiling, conceit, vein, sleigh, freight, eight
Exceptions

We have four interactive exercises available for practicing these rules.

They /should/ irk everyone. But mainly just the ones that stick out and it's just like: "OH MY GAWD! YOU SPELLED HERE INSTEAD OF HEAR?? HOW COULD YOU!" Because those are just fun to poke fun at. _________________ ~Michelle The Bee
