Celeste.

The mouse climbed up and put her nose on Celeste's ear. She almost jerked her head away, but the mouse began to squeak. It wasn't so much the squeeking she understood, but the thoughts behind the squeaking.
"Can you hear me?"
Celeste stared out into the empty dark in front of her and stuttered, "Y-yes."
The mouse seemed to jump a little with what was probably excitement, and Celeste began to listen to the little mouse's mind chatter away.[/i]

-Kweraan-

"You should not be able to do that," Kweraan said suddenly to the human who ahd just bothered him, his attention, curiosity, and a bit of worry drawn to her speaking to the mouse. Humans had long ago lost the ability to speak to other animals who could not speak in their own language. Yes this human was able to do so.
Kweraan limped forward, "How are you able..." Quite suddenly, the dragon froze. He turned his head up to sniff the air. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Little White do the same, though none of the humans, or the mouse, had picked up the scent. "There is something there, to the south."
Kweraan did not know what it was, and they had come from the north, it was not the hunters.

Cindallia~

Cindallia was amazed that the human could understand her. She didn't even know it was possible! She jumped with excitement and began sharing with the human girl all she knew of their current situation, to make sure they were on the same page.

The mouse had almost completely forgotten why she had tried to speak to the girl in the first place when Kweraan and the White dragon turned their noses up at the sky. Cindallia could feel the crippled dragon's confusion along with the White dragon's fear.

Celeste

Celeste watched the mouse hop around on her shoulder and suddenly stop. The older dragon was just inquiring about how she could talk to the mouse, when he stopped and turned his nose to the sky. It took only a few moments for Celeste to realize that the thing she and the mouse had been worried about was now close enough for the dragons to detect it. It was not very close, though, because of the dragons ability to detect things from very long distances, but depending on what it was, it was either a terrible threat or an easy thing to overcome.
All Celeste knew about the coming danger was that they weren't, and could not be, human.

Cindallia~

Cindallia was about to cry out in swirl of emotions around her when she heard something. It wasn't very loud, because nobody else seemed to notice. She turned around and looked behind the party, towards the North. She couldn't see what it was, and scurried down the girls arm as fast as she could, running toward the bushes.

Fine. Sinse nobody else is going to do anything, you leave me to do the dirty work. You're going to regret it, by the way. I suck at this.

Celeste looked around where everyone seemed to be drawing their attention to. There was something beyond the trees that was massive. Gigantic - and something in her mind told her they were dangerous, whatever they were.
As the party gawked up at the sky, there were flames coming from just above the trees, and then Celeste realized what they were.
Dragons.

(I TOLD YOU! I'm not good at this. That was all I could think of. Now you need to go along with this. We could have avoided it if there were more creative and smarter people posting - but you made Shaye post)

*threadicus alivicus!*

-Kweraan-

Dragons? Kweeran had not expected that, and that alone made him wary. Though they looked like dragons and sounded like dragons, they certainly did not smell like dragons. Something was clearly not right.
He wrapped his tail around the little dragon, whose fate was crucial, she must not come to any harm and Kweraan would put himself at risk to make sure that would happen.
"Stay close to me Little White," he whispered to her. He noticed the humans also edged slightly closer to him. "Do nothing until I tell you to."

Celeste

As the old dragon spoke to them, the dragons in the sky moved closer and closer. There was something odd about the way they moved. Like they were swimming instead of flying - they seemed weightless, but so massive.

At the same time, Celeste felt that little sense in her tingle with suspicion, not fear. If they were dragons, why aren't they breathing fire? They didn't shine like dragons either.

It was then that Celeste remembered.

"Oh no," she breathed.

(Finally)

Cindallia~

She couldn't stand it. In the dragon holding, everything was so simple. The people were dumb and most emotionless, and the mice capable of only one emotion at once. But out here in the field, not only could Cindallia feel the numerous emotions that these humans and dragons were capable of feeling, but she also felt the gigantic wave of emotions coming from the giant swarm heading their way. She didn't even know that there were this many emotions a being was able to feel. What was odd though, were the new emotions coming from the mystery beasts. Those emotions were not quite right, and Cindallia made her way back up the girl and settled on her shoulder, trying to sort out these new emotions.

(This post is really just to let you guys know, I'm not posting here, because I'm waiting for a good point to have my character do something interesting. Now I feel obligated to have a post though...)

/~Thur~\

Thur's mind reached out. It travelled over the plains surrounding the town, searching, searching. It followed dragons, it followed deer, it followed the hunters. Nothing worried Thur. He continued sleeping.

~Aeronwen~

Aeronwen curled up, and tucked her tail under, peering out from behind Kweraan to see what was going on.

There was a large herd of shapes gliding, no, floating before them. They looked like dragons... But they didn't smell right; they didn't feel right... She reached out to touch their minds, but it was as though her mind brushed against a cold sheet of metal... She could tell they were there, she could see them... But her mind told here they weren't. It FELT as though she was just looking out through the trees, and nothing blocked her view.

They swept closer and closer... Slow, graceful... As if they had been stuck in slow motion.

One got ever closer, sweeping down towards her.

It was taking forever, but Aeronwen couldn't move. the figure floated towards her and she cried out in her mind.

Big blue!

She was terrified, and she couldn't move, she doubted that she would have been able to open her mouth if she had tried.

The figure approaching her got closer, closer, opened wide it's shadowy mouth, and then exploded in a puff of mist the colour of the night sky.

Aeronwen lost consciousness.

-Kweraan-

Kweraan felt Little White faint by his tail, out of sheer fright more than anything else it would seem. Kweraan had to admit that even he was quite freaked out by the sight of the ethereal dragons exploding above him.
After the first one had gone, all the others quickly followed, until all that was left was the occasional wisp of smoke that drifted away in the light breeze.
But their presence still lingered. Though they could no longer be seen, Kweraan knew that whatever they were, they were still here.
"Get close to me, now!" Kweraan shouted at the humans as he felt the ground begin to shake.

(REVIVE!)

Celeste

There were wispy voices all around her. As if they were discussing something important. The voices kept getting louder and louder and faster and faster, until Celeste felt sick and grabbed her ears to block out the sound and closed her eyes tightly. She toppled over onto the ground and felt the little mouse come and rest on her face.
Then, the voices stopped and new sounds began to meet Celeste's ears.
Celeste opened her eyes, and there was an extravegant fight between the older dragon and a dark mass that Celeste couldn't make out. The white dragon was darting around behind the older dragon, trying to figure out where to go or what to do. Celeste knew that the white dragon was scared and that she couldn't get involved in the fight. The way her tail flickered every time she took a step told Celeste that she wanted to join the older dragon in the fight, but somehow Celeste knew that the fight was about the white dragon, and if she got involved in the fight all would be lost.
Celeste picked herself (and the mouse) off the ground and thought about what to do. She couldn't go over there to get her - that would be suicide. The only thing Celeste could do was nothing at all. So, she turned to her companion, "Do you think you could get over to the white dragon? She needs to know that she cannot attempt to fight."
