Gathering of the Figments

Do not ask why I wrote a sestina, as that is beside the point. (Shaye, Grey Dawn, and butterflii, you are no exception to the rule. *glare* xD)

ANYWAY. It's a mathematical poem, where you take six words and they're the ends to all the sentences in each stanza...i.e. your words are:

CAT
MOUSE
HOUSE
GROANS
CHEESE
RUN

And your stanza would be:

There sits the cat
waiting for a mouse
scurrying about this old house
the lightest step makes the floor bend and groan
if this mouse wants the cheese
he'll have to run.

And then you have to write them in a different order next time; I'd have to find my format paper for that...anyway, I propose we are each presented with the same six words (decided upon by our mods ^^) and we each have to write a sestina with them. It'd be interesting to see how different they could all be...but yeah; that's what I'm thinking.

I've never done that. Have you ever tried that thing where you have one word and through a series of changes of one letter (i.e. changing STAR into SPAR) and make it another word? Ever change can only change one letter (no switching of letters either) and every word down the list has to be another word. You change words like STAR into WARS or something. I love that game, I think it's so fun. Smile
