Alright, I'll definitley give this comp a shot. But let me get the rules straight first. So we can't use any existing Harry Potter characters or places? And it needs to be epic? Well that sounds easy enough! Confused

Can we still use concepts from the Harry Potter books, like all the spells and magical creatures? Or do you want us to make up our own?

Yeah, you can if you want... I mean the purpose is "The Next Harry Potter" Meaning a book by a different author, with original concepts, and all of that... something that can be taken by itself, something that you don't need to have read a series/story by a different author to understand it...

But you can if you want...

You may notice that i have updated the finish date... It now goes until the 31st of December... I have also edited the upper word limit to 60,000, so that you can send in your nano novels if you want...

And the prize now also includes a FREE copy of the book of poetry to come out next year!

So... I don't understand at all. This now goes till the end of December and it can be our NaNo? But my NaNo has NOTHING to do with HP. *Is really confused and feels stupid because Figgy seems to have already explained about six times* ...

It isn't meant to ACTUALLY be HP... It is meant to be the next HP... SO... Epic... Big... It doesn't even have to be a series, or part of, or even the same genre, or aimed at the same age group...

People are always looking for the "Next" Harry Potter... so a book that they will love reading, as much as HP... So... An AWESOME book!

The title of this competition does actually have next to nothing to do with the competition... Understand?

It was just to give you guys an idea of the KIND of thing to aim for... The greatness i know that you are all capable of!
