You could do a poetry competition. For example, the poem has to be over 20 lines and must describe what is happening extremely well. Different poems are accepted and quotes inside from other poets are forgiven, etc. etc.

Do you know what I mean?

yeah, i do know what you mean... i was thinking that once we get a few more actively posting members, we can start a poetry and a short story type competition, but i am wantng mor members first... just to make the thrill of the competition more... well... thrilling....

would there be a theme for the competition because I find it awfully difficult to just start writing about something.

perhaps we could have a couple of options...
As it is coming up to valentines day... How about "love" and "betrayal" as they are the common themes in shakespeare plays and such, and have something to do with valentines day... both ends of the spectrum... would accomodate most people...
