I love musicals, have never been to big live ones or anything, but i love Chicago and Moulin Rouge... And the Phantom of the Opera...
Yeah, i love them, and it is safe to say that i do, from time to time, become obsessed with them...
A different type of musical, that i am ABSOLOUTELY OBSESSED with, is the War of the Worlds by Jeff Wayne...
It is a CD, but it has dialogue and music, and all of that... I dont know if you would count it as a musical, but i love it... _________________

Yes, Figment, I would have to agree with you there. War of the Worlds is brilliant. The only problem is, when it was first released, they played it over the radios and everyone thought we were being invaded by aliens. (sad but true I'm afraid).
Topping my list is The NYC Hugh Jackman production of The Boy From Oz, RENT (on NYC Broadway not the movie - it sucked compared to Broadway), followed by Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King and The Sound of Music. |

*pulls out iPod*
my favorites are Phantom of the Opera (I own the movie and the original broadway, but think John Cudia is the best phantom), Wicked (which I'm seeing in 11 days), and Beauty and the Beast. I love them all, though
all the musicals I own in some semblance of alphabetical order: Aida (original b-way), Anything Goes (b-way revival), Avenue Q (original b-way), Beauty and the Beast (original b-way), Chicago (movie), Les Miserables (original london), My Fair Lady (movie), Once More With Feeling (tv), Phantom (original off-broadway), RENT (original b-way), South Pacific (original b-way), Last Five Years (original off-broadway), Phantom of the Opera (broadway and movie), Secret Garden (original b-way with Inigo Montoya from Princess Bride), Thoroughly Modern Millie (original b-way), West Side Story (movie), Wicked (original b-way) _________________ Altogether Too Unsophisticated To Deserve a Proper Postscript

I love musicals, especially jazz and rock operas. Especially especially RENT! _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |
