~Jandai~

She had been watching the girl... She had made a dress of flower petals, and sat in the sun... She had seen Jandai, but merely smiled, and swirled her finger in the water.

The child seemed happy, and in no danger...

Perhaps the half-shifted had moved on to a different prey?

A shadow moved across the water, and Jandai was alarmed... The girl moved back from the waters edge in shock...

Jandai looked up and saw a beast, a half beast, the half beast, half shifted that she had been following!

If she had been born a fish, her first reaction would probably have been to swim away... But she was born a shifter, and so that was her first reaction. Her first thought was that she must change to something larger, something more powerful than this creature...

But was it worth risking her soul, by changing into a large creature that she never had before? Or should she surrender her life now, at the hands of this beast?!

If she had been in human form, she would have shaken her head...

She would NOT die in the form of a fish... Her soul would become confused, and she would never be free!

She began to change, although she was unsure as to what she was becoming... But before she could move, or shift, or even figure out what she was, she found herself in the sharp claws of the half shifted...

She feared for her flesh, as the claws dug in and she felt warm blood slithering down her sides, but more than the pain, and more than death, she feared for her soul.

(OOC. Sorry it took so long! And thank you for the PM pommie! Ooooh, Page number 3!)

Kroayla__♥

Kroayla's laugh tinkled as she saw the fish flutter away in the water. Suddenly, her attention turned to the mysterious dark shape on the other side of the lake. Her eyes could just make out, large black wings.
She shuddered, never had she seen such a sinister creature. She slid into the lake to get a better view. The water rose up her body and you wouldn't have known the water was cold, for she adjusted to it in the blink of an eye.
Soon, she was under and delicately paddling through the waters. Seeing a rock nearby she climbed out and clambered onto it. She was reluctant to leave the water, but curiosity took over. She could see so much better now.
Then, before she could get a proper look, the animal pounced close to the water, and soared up again. In his claws, he held a fish.
Kroayla let out a small gasp as the air caught in her throat. There was almost nothing she could do, her wings were wet and even if she flew after them. She wouldn't be able to get the fish back off of such a magnificent beast.
However, her conscience got the better of her. She stood up, to her full height. And fluttered her wings to shake access water, and finally began to hover over the lake.

Tsoren landed, his damp wings unable to carry him far. The fish was clasped in his hands, curiously it wasn't struggling much, but that was nothing but trivial information for him.
What was concerning was the eerie feeling that he was being followed. He looked behind him; nothing. But still the feeling remained. Tsoren dropped the fish and bared his teeth threateningly, through the gesture was lost as he did not know where to aim the threat. He bobbed his head gently, looking more like the dragon in him than the human as he did so.
Uneasy, but willing to dismiss the threat, he looked back down at where he dropped the fish.

It was gone.

((Not too late to join I hope?))

Character: Frederick Rowpindi (Rauw-Pin-Dee)
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Appearance: Tall, Dark-Haired, Pale-Skinned, Soldier Build, Keen Eyes

-------------

Frederick marched along with the rest of his regiment. It wasn't a large party, only 20 men, they were merely scouting for the mutants.
"Remember, do not kill them! We are here merely to locate them", his captain shouted.
Frederick didn't expect they would find anything for several weeks, the mutants were very good at hiding themselves, which is why he was so surprised when he noticed a huge black thing flying several hundred yards ahead.
"There", he shouted, unbelieving, as he pointing at the black presence, "I see one over there!"

((Hope this isn't too far-fetched. But these guys have been ordered by a King or Mayor or whatever to capture all the "mutants"; I don't know if it fits with your RP Confused))

((Not in the slightest, in fact, this will deviate slightly from Tsoren, but this is actually in a way uncannily similar to what will shortly happen in said novel. I shall wait for Butterflii to post first, as I posted just before you, but this is just to acknowledge your presense. I shall leave now.))
