Yeah, the same thing happened to me when I went to see Mission: Impossible III...I got there at six and got out at nine. I was like, "THREE HOURS?!" then when it came out I was looking at the box and it said 2 hours. So I'm a little curious as to what I was doing that extra hour...xD _________________

Oh, I do like the previews...
Wall-E was funny. He's like, "WhaotboealutoALL anoruatonvyEE." It was all garbled up and stuff...xD _________________

I just went to see this today, and I'd have to say I was fairly impressed. I wasn't a big fan of the fifth book but I think they did a good job with the movie. The visuals were great and they did an awesome job casting the new characters. DOLORES UMBRIDGE RULED THE MOVIE! She was hilarious and perfectly fit the role. I would have liked to see more with Tonks, but i guess she didn't have that big of a part anyways. I don't remember the fifth book that well(I read it over 3 years ago), but I could have sworn there was alot more Cho/Harry and Ron/Hermione interaction then the movie let on. Ah well, they can't add everything i guess. The wizard duels at the end of the movie were pretty awesome, and Bellatrix Lestrange was insane. I only had two real gripes with the movie.
1) I didn't think they made Harry seem as emotional and sad as they could have at the end, especially after he had just lost his godfather. I remember at the end of the fourth movie there was that really depressing scene when Harry returned with Cedric's dead body and he started crying and everyone was like OMG. But maybe it was just me.
2) The actors are starting to get waaaay to old for their parts. I know this can't be helped, but my god, Fred and George looked really old for being only 21 in real life. You figure they would try and touch them up with makeup or something. By the time the 7th movie comes out in 2011(assuming) almost all of the main cast will be 21 and 22 trying to play 17 year olds. It will be interesting to see how that turns out. _________________

Upon reading the above review I see now that there is hope for this movie. I read the 5th book, and judging by the fact that I had completely forgotten everything that had transpired by the time the 6th book rolled out, I didn't like it. And despite my famous anti-potter antics I do plan to see this movie. _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |

haha, I was the same way. I couldn't remember anything that happened in the 5th book before I saw the movie. Aside from the really important parts. _________________

All I could remember was that there was something called the Order of the Phoenix and it was anti-Voldemort. I didn't even remember that Sirius died. _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |
