Oh I don't know why I didn't do this before now.
Come here to talk about Harry Potter anything. Theories and news for Deathly Hallows, favorite characters, favorite books... anything!
OMG I'LL START!
What about Dumbledore's portrait? Do you think Harry will go back and visit it even if the school doesn't re-open? Because JK was talking to somebody and said "I'm having trouble with Dumbledore." and the person said, "But I thought he was dead." and she said, "Well, he is, but it's not that simple." Do you think that's his portrait she's talking about? _________________ ~Shaye

thats really smart Shaye!
i wonder if hes a ghost. And the reason he helped make the philosophers stone was because he too was afraid of death. Then hed be able to show harry the moves too. teach him the stuff. but he'd only be able to stick around hogwarts maybe. Plus hes a ghost because he has unfinished business.
The other theory i have is that Dumbledoor was really Aberforth in disguise and the real dumbledoor was just controlling his mind or something, but that ones a little farfetched... _________________ I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy

Ironically he never actually went outside of a city his entire life, let alone Droving. phht. Henry Lawson was much more acurate, he didnt romanticise the Aussie bush. |

Ooo I haven't thought about Dumby being a ghost.
Aberforth is something I really haven't thought about that much. Maybe JK will do something funny with him.

No, Aberforth is the owner of the tavern in Hogsmeade... what's it called... Hogs Head. _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

Wasn't Aberforth arrested for practicing illegal charms on a goat? _________________ ~Shaye

I belive so, but JK Rowling said Aberforth is involved in one of the earlier books, just keep an eye out for goat references.
Now, consider the fact that the Hogs Head smells vaguely of goats... we have our Aberforth _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

Deathly Hallows has got the tagline "is Snape friend...or foe?" or something like that.
This could go both ways, it would turn out he's a foe because of obvious reasons, or friend, she'd pull a reverse psychology thing on us...either way, it's going to be a predictable ending, even though nobody ever saw it coming. She's backed herself into a corner.

SNAPE IS A VERY BAD MAN
Seriously, that's my opinion. He's an A** to Harry, and anybody who's THAT mean to Harry has been a Death Eater. That's my opinion. What do you think??

Something about Lily's gonna be important. She said so. And Dumbledore's family. Maybe that's where Aberforth comes in? Oh, and Ron/Hermione is an assured couple, as is the Harry/Ginny, though I think that was obvious. I hope Remus/Tonks and Hagrid/Olympe works out too.
I hope Snape isn't really evil. He's such an interesting character. And poor Draco. Can you believe it?! I'm feeling sorry for that prat! ... But after the sixth book and all that talk about Voldemort killing his family, well, I do kinda feel sorry for him. Even if he is a mean little git.
I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 34 days guys!!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I think Malfoy will come back over from "The Dark Side" if he gets even the slightest opportunity. I would not go as far as saying he and Harry will be mates, but I have a slight feeling that they will save each others' life. Just an idea I had as I was writing this post actually.
Snape I don't know about. He could still go either way, the arguments there are for both sides seem pretty valid (if we conveniently ignore JK's statement saying Dumbledoor is really dead. Get over it...)
But then again, she is hinting Dumbledoor is still alive...
Snape's goodness hinges on Dumbledoor's aliveness... _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

Well, maybe. He did make the Unbreakable Vow. But I would like to think that was just to keep up appearances of being a spy. But, sh**, why would he kill Dumbledore if he were really a true member of the Order? DAMMIT!!!! I want Snape to be good!!!! *pouts*
Random info: Mugglenet said in their book that it kind of looks like Snape loved Lily Evans. I don't know though. _________________

I'd agree with that, I would certianly say Snape had feelings for her.
And have you not heard the 'Snape is Good' rumours?
Basically Snape did not cast Avada Kedavra becuase it did not follow the usual traits of that curse. It followed the traits of Expeliamus (spelling?). To disguise it, yes he did cast AK, but without the intent to kill (which is crucial in it's effectiveness).
That is what they say. Whether they are right or not, we will find out in 34 days (more for the slow readers) _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

Told told told!
And another, Dumbledoor has a horcrux. He killed the evil wizard Grimbold or something as stated in PS (minor reference). He created a horcrux from this (his phoenix, Fawkes - what better than a horcrux that can never die?)
So Snape is still evil, but Dumbledoor is alive for that one.
Was there any others...??? _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

EEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never got that thing about Fawkes being a horcrux. Somehow that seems distictly un-Dumbledore. Splitting your soul in half didn't seem like something he approved of... Where'd you find that info? _________________
