You know that there are quote-ey songs out there.

If you don't believe me - Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen - Baz Lurhman (spelling? Uhh...). Great song.

Actually it's more of a speech.

So basically - song lyrics that hit you.

Just do it.

It doesn't actually go this way, but I always thought the country song Boondocks or whatever sounded like--

"I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from, I was born and raised in the produce aisle..."

I knew it had to be something else. And when I finally told Mae and Tyler what I thought it went like; they laughed at me. Sad

You've got to get yourself together. You've got stuck in a moment and you can't get yourself out of it.
Stuck in a moment you can't get out of, U2

I like that bit, and it has a very catchy tune too...

Dreams last for so long. Even after you're gone.

You were meant for me - Jewel

*uber twitch*

"Life is not trying, but merely surviving, when you're standing outside the fire."

I cheated; Shaye. I DIDN'T ACTUALLY WRITE THAT MEANINGFUL QUOTE! BWAHAHA!

I didn't say you had to write it, Hawky...

If heaven and hell decide

That they both are satisfied

Illiminate the 'No's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you

When your soul embarks -

I'll follow you into the dark.

I will follow you into the dark - Death cab for cutie

"Keep on believing, and you'll discover baby!
There's always something magic. There's always something new. And when you really, really need it the most; that's when Rock and Roll dreams come through.
The beat is yours forever, the beat is always true. And when you really, really need it the most; that's when Rock and Roll dreams come through... for you."

Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through by Meat Loaf

"Is this a blessing? Or is it a curse?
Does it get any better? Does it get any worse?
Will it go on forever? Or is it over tonight?
Does it come with the darkness? Does it bring out the light?
Is it richer than diamonds?
Or just a little cheaper than spit?
I don't know what it is but it just won't quit"

It Just Won't Quit by Meat Loaf

"I'm not calling for a second chance, I'm screaming at the top of my voice."

Same Mistake by James Blunt

Heaven is not a place you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive.

The Tide - The Spill Canvas

That's a great song. I think I've had a few Heaven-moments.

Deja Vu.

You were like a sunset to me.

You were all kinds of beautiful as you end my day.

It's just poetic.

Glad I never grew up near the water,
So I could never get used to the beach.
Glad I never grew up on a mountain,
To figure out how high the high the world could be.
Love the miles between me and the city,
Where I quietly imagine every street.
And I'm glad I'm only picturing the moments,
And I'm glad you never fell in love with me.

Indiana - Jon McLaughlin.

Amazing song.

This is probably the most quotable song there is:

"Yet always, it seems
I cannot fathom the plateau
Without first the pit"

"All the earthly wisdom and wealth
Cannot erase your susceptibility
To brutal mortality
And the funny thing about justice
Is that it always comes when you least expect it"

"We'll find our solace in your silence"

"You have given me all I'll ever need
The nerve, the greed, the lust, the lust, the lust, the lust for justice
And now I will never rest
Until the meaningless become your silence"

...

Sorrow drips into your heart
Through a pinhole
Just like a faucet that leeks
And there is comfort in the sound
And while you debate half
Empty and half full
It slowly rises
Your love is gonna' drown.
