It was only a matter of time... Very Happy

Yes, what can be said in brief about this trilogy?
It was bloody brilliant is just an understatement.
One if the greatest books of all time, if you haven't read it then you should do two things:
1)Be ashamed
2)Read it ASAP!

To those of you who do not know:

His Dark Materials is a trilogy written by award winning author Philip Pullman. The first book is called The Golden Compass (US)/Northern Lights (UK).

Any questions? Feel encouraged to ask.

For those of us who are familiar with the series, let people know ahead of time if there are any spoilers in your post. Smile Thank you.

Cheers.

This trilogy of books is probably my favourite set of books. EVER!

I'm buying "Lyra's Oxford" soon, and I can't wait for "The Book of Dust".

Nor can I wait for the movie, named after the american title, "The Golden Compass".

I'm glad to see other people love it to.

Sorry. Rolling Eyes I didn't think that we weren't talking about the books. Seeing as how that site is one of the top dogs for these books specifically.
