Another AMAZING author. Kushiel's Dart is the first book in the series. Political intrigue, fights, interesting characters, impossibly difficult situations, and a beautiful, intellectual, and interesting young female protagonist who is among other things, a peerless courtier and skilled mistress of the bedchamber. The glorified whore parts can be a bit...um...detailed, but these books are really, really, really good!!!! Jacqueline Carey's plots are so... BIG and all-encompassing. Just do yourself a favor and read them. Wink

They'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
