Yay!
The Hobbit is to be made into not one, but two movies!
Woo for all Tolkein fans!!!

And as to the great question of will Peter Jackson be directing the answer is revealed. No. He is not. He will be producing the film instead.
As to who will be the director, nothing yet. But still looking. The awesome thing though is that Peter Jackson is involved... oh, and that it is two films being done simultaneously (like LotR was done).

edit: amazing how useful the scroll wheel is on a mouse...
I found that the director is known... and it was just above where I was looking Embarassed
It will be Sam Raimi (of Spiderman fame).

Oh no! I thought PJ was producing!!! *cries* At least he's on board. I hope this is good. I'm a little worried, seeing as it's being made into two movies and they said based on the Hobbit... I hope it's as good as the LOTR movies. Smile
