Shaye had her gall bladder and appendix taken out on thursday after her kidneys stopped working and she went to the hospital.
So I thought I had the flu the thursday before last, because I was puking and things, then, I got some really bad back pain, mother took me to the hospital, they did a CT and blood test, found out my kidneys weren't working, then they admitted me to the hospital. They gave me nothing to eat or drink for 4 days, of course, except IV fluids and ice chips, then they decided sinse my kidneys weren't working and I was still sick even with all the fluids that they'd try to find things wrong with other organs, and it turns out that my gall bladder was inflamed and my appendix was also. So then, they gave me this medicine that made me throw up the worst stuff ever. It was pure bile - so the stuff your liver makes. So they decided to take my gall bladder and appendix out, and they were all weirded out because I'm only 14. I was the youngest person to get their gall bladder out at that hospital. They took my appendix out too.
So that's what happened. I'm in pain now. So I'm not going to be on here much. I'm on vicodin and it still hurts.
And no, Geeds, I'm not selling you any. _________________ ~Shaye

Awww, Shaye!
How terrible!
Well, at least they are gone now, and not going to cause any more issues in the future...
Hey! Look on the bright side; you can go find a big walking stick, and limp around popping Vicodin... Well... When you are able to limp around, that is...
Poor Shaye.

I don't want any! (I'll be getting my dose of that soon enough.)
I got lucky, my appendix was removed when I was too young to remember. Come to think of it, I seem to have gone through a lot of crap pre-memory. So I can semi-sympathize with you. So you get a *heart-felt hug*
Just remember, don't get addicted to that stuff, you're lucky that stuff isn't codeine based, although it is an opioid, so it's still pretty nasty. At least you can, I assume, eat what you want (within reasonable limits).
*looks at the above post*
Crap, looks like I'm still into medicine. I thought I was over that. CURSES! WHY MUST I BE ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE?!
On a serious note, please don't tell me the horror stories (or at least warn me about them first), I'm already scared enough for my future of drug addiction and pain. _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |

That really sucks, Shaye! (well more than sucks but....)
A lot of people in my family, including my mom, have had their gal bladders removed and I'm always worried I will have to too. I'm pretty sure it's not a genetic thing but still.
I hope you feel better, Shaye! -huggles- _________________

I waited more than a WEEK for this news Miss Shaye! Why didn't you call me? I was afraid that I made you sick. And because you left your nice big bottle of ibuprofen at my house. But I'm glad you're better!! I missed you *hmph*
But I won some badminton games for us! 5 or 6... somat' like that.
And I can simpathize with you on the throwing up bile part. I had this flu once where I was throwing up pretty much nonstop for 12 hours. It SUCKED. _________________ ~Michelle The Bee

Isn't the Gall Bladder kind of important?
Well, at least it is all sorted now, and here's to wishing you a speedy recovery!!! _________________ It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.

Okay, First - Thank you for caring so much about me you guys! =D
Second - Michelle, barely anybody knew except the few unfortunate people whose number my brother has memorised. But think about it this way - You know a week before most people will because I'm getting private tutoring next week. Something about a weak immune system, needing to recooperate, and not wanting vicodin in school.
Third - The gall bladder isn't really important. It's probably nice to have if you're an alcoholic who likes to abuse their liver, but since I've never had any alcohol in my life, it's not that big of a deal for me. The gall bladder is kind of like a final stop for all the bile and toxins before going to the kidneys and out forever. Wee hee! But mine was diseased, and was so for 3 years, so I'm glad that it's out because it's going to keep me from throwing up and getting sick so much. As for the appendix - I don't know anything about that except that I hate it and it's evil.
Fourth - Trin, some gall bladder diseases are genetic, but it probably won't bother you (if you have one) until you're like 40 or 50. But the good news about that is that it's a really simple surgery and I only have two little scars from it (and another for my appendix). I'm not going to lie - It hurt after I had the surgery, but it only takes a few days to recover. I'll stop scaring you now because you probably won't have to worry about it anyway.
Fifth- If you stay in pediatrics at a hospital they bring you lots of popsicles and freezies and animal crackers and juice even if you don't want them. And morphine. They give you that too. There's cable and you get gifts from all your family. Basically - besides the surgery and pain and the fact that I was at the hospital - the hospital's a pretty okay place.
Sixth - I have run out of bullet points, therefore I shall stop typing and press submit. _________________ ~Shaye

Ah yes, the appendix. The appendix is the small useless dangly bit on your intestines that gets infected and cut off. Which is exactly how I feel about pre-calculus. _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |

I think the appendix is from back when we used to eat grass, isn't it? _________________

haha. cud. gross
Anyway, Shaye, I'm glad you get cable! Maybe I should get really sick sometime so that I can watch Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends...
But, HEY! When can I visit you? I've never visited someone at the hospital who had a very high chance of getting out. Actually, now that I think about it, the only person I've ever visited at the hospital was my grandpa, and he went right back in and died once he got out. But that was a long time ago
OH! Did you like the flowers Haylee brought you? She told us what she had to go through to get those... _________________ ~Michelle The Bee

Michelle. I'm home now.
But the next time I'm in the hospital, I shall call you right away.
And yes. They're lovely. I keep them right next to my bed and they smell like summer. _________________ ~Shaye
