I heard that Sam Ramii was going to do a movie of Terry Goodkind's book Wizard's First Rule! Has anyone else heard about this?

Well it's listed on the IMDb, for 2008.
After the mysterious murder of his father, a son's search for answers begins a momentous fight against tyranny. A Miniseries Based on Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" adventure novel series.
So, a miniseries? I loved the first four or five books, but then... well, Goodkind started to get a little preachy. The books turned into a long, boring allegorical rant on communism and race relations, basically. I never did finish the series. |

Oh, you should finish them! The end of Confessor is so amazing!!!!!!! Some of them do drag, I'll agree, but I still love them. And I don't think he's trying to preach. He believes strongly in the rights of the individual, that's all, and so he gives that philosophy to Richard. It's not against Communism or anything, it's against turning people into mindless slaves that aren't allowed to think and have to do everything for the Good of All, which turns out to be for the Good of The Select Few, which is corrupt and against the rights of humanity. I think he makes good points, and I like that Jagang and the Order think they're in the right, because that makes them so much scarier, and so much more realistic. That's my take on it anyway.
I wonder how much justice a film could do it though.... hmmm....
