Gathering of the Figments

Ok... I know it is easy to go down different trains of thought, and go off topic... But there are some instances where it isn't ok...

These instances are:

* In announcements
* In the comments of people's creative works(poems, novels, short stories etc.)
* In games that have specific outlines...
* If someone has an issue that they are trying to bring to attention in "Soapbox."

The reasons for this include, but are not limited to:

The fact that it stops people from reading the original announcements, and stories/poems etc, or the person's issue won't be getting real answers, and also messes up the point of the word games! If you are doing one word posts, you shouldn't be having conversations within the thread...

Create or find the correct thread!

There are areas that are more lenient, like the "Welcome" or "News and Events" sections...

We have the Rambling section specifically so that we wont drag the other topics away from their original posts, so please use it!

I think we need to reduce the amount of randomness that goes on in Welcome. A couple of the threads are quite frankly, ridiculous.

I think, if threads like them do get out of hand, moderators, just lock them.
