I thought it time I joined a RP, and with the character I had in mind, Figment suggested I create one based in Gaeia, the setting for my novel Wolves Curse. A map of the area can be found here. This is set in the future of the events in said novel, and is most likely going to be the basis of a future novel.

Without further ado, let us begin. The story begins in the tavern in Vuost, though where it may lead, who knows?
When you first start, introduce your character with useful information like name, race etc. I have to enfore that my character must be the only human/dragon hybrid, as he is unique in this respect.

Name: Tsoren
Race: Human/Dragon hybrid
Gender: Male
Age:18
Appearance: Great black wings frame his human body, backward facing horns rise up over his blond hair. His golden eyes are ringed by black scales that trail back to his ears. His hands and feet are tipped in sharp claws, and his teeth are elongated with fangs slightly protruding below his lower lip.

****************************************************

The tavern was bright, all it's many candles alight, but one shadowy corner remained, and within the corner sat an equally shadowy figure. Wings spread around him to block of the light, Tsoren was alone, as he always was. Every night he came to the tavern, every night he sat alone, watching the comings and goings of the humans and any other being that visited. His hands absently toyed with a silver chain around his neck, his most prized possession, an heirloom passed down his mothers family for generations.
His eyes snapped over to the door as it opened, someone else was enetering the tavern, escaping the driving rain outside.

Name: Kiara
Race: Half demon
Gender: female
Age:15
Appearance: I have Siver hair with red and blue streaks, my eyes are blood red. I have claws, fangs, and carry a sword arround my waist, I also tend to have the mysterious look and a scar on my left eye.

Kiara walks slowly through the alley way as she looked arround the smell of human blood was close by but she could not sense it. She stood there and waited for the smell to get stronger.

Tsoren watched disapointed as a villager walked into the tavern; he had hoped for someone interesting. He had not spoken to anyone in nearly an entire moon phase and had thought that tonight would have been different. Not so. Sighing softly he stood up, folding his wings against his back. Walking across the crowded room he felt people shudder as he brushed up against them. He pushed open the door and spread his wings above his head from the rain.

(Do you know what is going to happen further on in the novel? I once partook in an RPG that was based on someone's future story, and we basically all said that we didn't care if she used characters or parts thereof for the story, all adequate dedication given of course...

Name: Jandai (Jan-die) Marksom
Race: Human with shape shifting genes although she hasn't unlocked the power completely, she has been on her own since she was young, so she had no-one to teach her about it... But she is developing them, and has heightened senses...
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Appearance: Short rich chocolate coloured hair, with streaks of copper and silver throughout (not dyed that way, it just started growing like this when she reached the age of puberty) Piercing yellow/orange eyes that sometimes appear to have cat like pupils, people usually put it up to a trick of the light... this usually happens in dark areas or when she is stressed or angry. Her skin is tanned, and she is fairly slim, although muscly, for her height and age.
Other: She has certain characteristic ways of walking and talking that sometimes give people the impression of mystery, and she sometimes appears to stalk without even realising it(you know, how a hunter gets low and weaves in and out, keeping quite so as not to disturb the prey.
She cannot just shift into any shape, there are a few... I don't know if her powers would develop to allow her unlimited animals or what... I will let her run for a bit, she may just suit one animal...

~Jandai~
Jandai moved noiselessly between the buildings, rain was pouring, her clothes were soaked through, and yet she felt no need to enter a warm, dry place of dwelling.
It was refreshing, rain seemed to wash away things, good and bad, and since no good memories had happened upon her lately, she was happy to let the rain wash it all away.
The streets were empty; the people seemed to disagree with her feelings of the rain... Or they were too caught up in the good things to dwell on the bad.

(OOC. This next bit contains kinda graphic content... just warning you... So don't read if you are worried about it, and if you do, don't get angry at me!)

She had killed on that night, just before the rain... She hadn't intended it, but she had heard the screams, that terrified woman, and the three men had been attacking her, wanting to have their go. They were ravenous, they had not touched the skin of a woman for weeks, or so it would seem.
She had seen them, their knives out, their faces filled with a grotesque glee at this woman's anguished screams, and then she had seen the face of her mother, seen her as she must have been all those years ago. Jandai became enraged, she hadn't noticed the claws extending, stretching out to feel their soft flesh, tear it like paper. All she knew was that these men were evil, that they had to die.
They didn't even know she was there until the first man dropped to the ground, gasping for air and coughing up blood when that was all his lungs would give him.
There was little struggle, they may have had a chance if it was the day time, if they could have seen her.
But it wasn't day time... they didn't have the vision that she did... and their flick knives may well not have been there; her ten sharp claws ripped them to shreds. (OOC. ten? Not sure about that one...)
Jandai had stood there, over their writing, emptying bodies, and she felt shocked... She looked over at the woman, expecting her mother's face, but all she saw was a terrified and repulsed woman... Jandai could almost feel her wishing that the men were still alive, she would rather have faced them than this half human, half... something else creature, with blood dripping from it's claws.
The woman had rushed off and Jandai had been left standing there, feeling a mixture of emotions.
Of course it wasn't her mother, for her mother had died all those years ago.
And the last place that she would expect to meet her mother would be in this town, this strange town that she didn't know...

(OOC. Ok, you can read again now if you want!)

So now she walked, the blood being washed away by the rain... Perhaps if she stayed there long enough it would make her forget those events of earlier.
She was not a murderer... She just sometimes had trouble controlling herself...
She was so deep in her thoughts of the rain, so focused on listening to it as it fell on her skin, or to the ground, that she almost didn't notice when a creature emerged from an open doorway in front of her.
She caught herself just in time, and pulled herself back into the shadows.
She was all of three meters from this creature with enormous black wings above its head; she held her breath and waited.

(OOC. Ok... well I was going to bed 45 minutes ago, but then I got stuck into this... anyway, I hope that is ok Pommie... I hope that the whole... "Guys attacking and raping a woman" thing wasn't too un... Vuost like... let me know if it is!)

Name: Kroayla (crow-ay-lah)

Age: 16

Race: Water Faery

Gender: Female

Hair: Long, bright blonde hair with multi-tonal golden streaks.

Eyes: Bright electric blue eyes that have a spiral of green in them.

Build: Slender, but of a small build. Not really small like two inches or something but perhaps nearly 5 foot, so looks like a child but has a very defined beautiful face.

Wings: Small butterfly-like wings. Aquamarine in colour with a deep violet outline and violet details.

Clothing: As she is a water faery she looks best in blues, greens, white, cream, light purples, sometimes light pinks. Normally wheres dresses or skirts, rarely wears shoes.

Other: As a water faery Kroayla can communicate with almost all creatures of the oceans and waters. Can fly, as can all faeries, but can also be propelled through the water by her wings.

Kroayla__♥

Holding a blue silk sash around her shoulders, Kroayla sprung over the roads, dancing her bear feet in the puddles and splashing cool splatters up her legs.
The streets were almost bear, apart from a few heavily clothed people hurrying home with umbrellas sheltering their heads from the tiny pearls of water.
She proably looked like a silly child . . playing in the rain. She stopped herself and wrapped her sash a little more snugly about her arms. She walked slightly more formally along the pavement as not to look silly but continued to splash the fresh rain-water over her feet.
The tavern aproached, a little too soon for Kroayla's liking, but she couldn't stay in the rain for much longer, she was attracting attention and she hated when people stared.
In the warmth of the tavern, Kroayla was forced to dry her feet as not to slip on the wooden floor. Reluctantly she rubbed them of acess water and unwrapped the blue silk from around her back, at which her wings gave a sparkley flutter.
Slipping herself onto a stool she crossed her legs and ordered a glass of pure, spring water. The only thing she'd ever drink. She sipped delicately at her glass, never would she grow tired of water. The clean, fresh taste. The very aroma, you may not notice, but for Kroayla, it was the strongest, most gorgeous scent. The feel of it trickling down her throat. An old couple eyed her suspiciously as she closed her eyes in the bliss of the water.
She pulled herself together, why was it, whenever she did something she enjoyed, did the things she loved, she was ridiculed and made to look like an idiot?
She'd had enough all ready, downing the rest of her drink she wrapped the silk aorund her shoulders again and wondered aimlessly into the night, finally putting her feet back into the glorious cool puddles that were gathered outside.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a magnificent tall human-like creature with jet-black wings sheltering his head. At least they weren't all human in this boring place.
After a few minutes of blissful walking in the rain, Kroayla could hold herself back no longer. She threw her blue sash onto the floor and held her hands up to the sky. Breathing in that smell of rain and looking up into the very heavens that were producing the miraculous rainfall.
Water sloshed around her face, dampening her hair and making her clothes drench around her slender body. She didn't care what people thought, just for tonight she was going to dance in the rain, sing and play in the rain, live in the rain.

(OOC) Figment, don't worry, Vuost is like any other place, it has its good traits, and its bad ones. It is not unfeasable to think that that sort of thing could happen around Vuost
And your first question, no. Well, sort of no. I know some parts which I shall not divulge here, but some parts of this RP, if I like them, could be incorporated into it Very Happy)

Tsoren trudged through the village to his dwellings outside the village walls. No one was out, or so it seemed. A sound drew is attention, and some way in front of him a young child was dancing in the rain. He snorted, disgusted that a parent would let their child loose in this weather, but as he was about to detour down a side alley he noticed something odd about the girl. She had wings. Not at all like his own, but he had never seen a human with wings before.
His curiosity took hold of him, and a launched up into the rain filled air, soon becomeing obscured from view form the gorund, though so often had a flown over the village, Tsoren had no worries in navigating. He landed upon a rooftop overlooking the girl, and he watched her dance unfold, his claws gripping into the soft, damp wood with ease.

Kroayla__♥

Kroayla continued taping for a while, enjoy the sensation of the smooth velvety water. Laughing to herself, like a content little boy watching a cartoon. The air was getting chillier now, and an icy breeze flew over her, lifting her hair into the moonlight.
As she noticed the sudden drop in temperature, she decided to call it a night. She'd been outside for a while now, the others might wonder where she is.
Picking up her soggy sash, she whipped it around her again, enjoying the cool rain running down her back from the fabric. Her small dress was now soaking and the white fabric clung loosely to her tiny frame. Aware of how silly she looked to other people, she bent her head down and wondered into the shadows, almost invisble in the darkness.
She flapped her wings a little, to dry them of the beads of rain, that had settled against them. A shimmering sheet of sparklng dust flew into the air and dissapeared. Fluttering her wings quicker now, more fairy dust glimmered around and finally her wings were dry enough to fly.
She hovered first, then her wings prepelled her higher as she fluttered them delicately and zoomed off.

Kiara noticed that the smell of blood was dissapearing. "How can this be?" said Kiara! She walked out of the alley way and held her arm in the air as a owl with a letter in her mouth, he dropped it in my hand landing in my arm as I fed him a treat as he flew off!
The note said:

Dear Kiara
How are you You have not yet replied to my messeges yet? Will u help with the mission if so please reply asap ohh and also please help!

P.s. No I dont mind sharpening ur blade I know u broke it

Kiara crumbled the paper and sat of the bench staring at her scar threw the swords reflection!

Tsren watched the girl fly off, not a girl actually he decided, but else she was he knew not, so to his mind that is what he continued to call her. Gracefully she flew, far more agile than the hybrid could achive, though he felt that he could beat her in an outright race of speed.
Quietly so as not to alert the 'girl' to his attention, he took flight and followed close behind, his eyes tracking her from her body heat making her glow red in the cold, dark night.

(OOC. Whenever i read the name Kroayla i think of "Crayola" you know, like the Crayons... Razz)

Jandai

Jandai felt relief wash over her, she was sure she hadn't been seen. But as she watched this creature she began to wonder about him...
Was he perhaps one of those shape shifters who had been caught mid-form, and never been able to change again? Her mother had told her stories of such things when she was only a small child, and Jandai had taken it as gospel.
Apparently such creatures held evil in their spirits, and they were trapped this way so as to warn others of their true intentions.
She stayed within the shadows, keeping out of sight and concentrating on keeping her breathing low.
As she watched this creature, he suddenly whipped around in Jandai's direction, and her heart skipped a beat. She held her breath, her heart pounding in her ears, but then she noticed that his eyes were fixed on something else.
She had been so deep in thought before that she hadn't noticed a child leave the building. She stepping into the rain, her clothes already soaked, and she began to walk. Suddenly she threw her shawl off and danced around in the rain.
Jandai wondered how it must feel to be so carefree as to dance in the rain. And then she began to wonder where this child's parents were, and why they were letting their child run around in the rain, but then she caught sight of the girl's wings... Faery wings...
The other creature flew out of sight of the Faery and then continued to watch her, Jandai wondered with apprehension if this creature intended to eat the girl.
She readied herself, what for she wasn't sure, but she wasn't going to stand aside while this creature attacked another innocent, unsuspecting creature.
She drew claws, and she felt her teeth extending, she waited, ready to pounce if she had to.
But then the girl flew up into the air, the other creature following her.
This was the one outcome that Jandai was not prepared for, she was not very good at flying forms.
Jandai changed, she focused on every fiber of her being becoming lighter, smaller, on her arms stretching to form wings.
She was in agony, this type of transformation had never come naturally to her, and she had to struggle with them, which is why she refused to use them, whenever she could avoid them.
She finished transforming, and stretched her leathery batty wings, before taking off into the air, following in the direction that the other two had traveled.
It was difficult, flying in these conditions; the wind buffeted her this way and that, swirling her around until she lost all sense of direction.
Her sonar way no help on such a night, and she was flying blind.
She kept going anyway, just hoping that she was flying the right way, that she would be able to land and change back soon, and most importantly, that she would not fly straight into the evil, half-shifted creature.

(OOC. Sorry that was so bad guys, i am really tired and out of it...)

OOC: Crayola . . heeheee, oh darn Figgs, you made me think of that now!!

IC

Kroayla__♥

Zooming through the air had never felt so blissful, the air was humid after the sudden rainfall and still smelt of fresh water. The rain was stopping now and so only a few stray droplets dared to touch Kroyala's skin as she swiftly buzzed through the night.
She turned around quickly, coming to a halt and turning sharply around. She had thought she'd heard a beat of wings . . . Squinting her eyes and shaking her head, she resumed her flying and fluttered her wings a little more quickly now, sending sheets of glimmering dust cascading into the night.
Again there it was. She turned around again, hovering in midair trying to make out shapes in the darkness. Maybe, maybe it was the wind. She tried to tell herself, but deep down she knew a wing-beat when she heard it. Cautiously now, she wisped on. Constantly looking behind her as the flapping noises became more frequent. As the rian cleared up completely, it was easier to fly but Kroayla found it more boring. With no rainfall to excite her, or take her mind off whatever was pursuing her, the whole flight was seeming twice as long.
Finally she came to the rocky bank by the stream. A lot of Water faeries came down here, but they referred to themselves as 'Nymphs' and quite often didn't approve of Kroayla, as she strayed away from water into human places. Landing gracefully, on the smooth pebbles of the bank, a couple of the 'nymphs' poked their heads out, joined by a few more until finally about 8 had emerged.

(Sorry guys was a bit at loss for what to put . . )

As the rain cleared away, visibility increased, and though Tsoren's dark colouring hid him well enough against the black clouds that lingered. The 'girl' suspected something, but had not seen him, or at least, had given no sign of anything.
She landed by one of the many tributaries to the river, one that was banked with trees not to far away. Many branches snapped and the tree swayed, but Tsoren thought he landed without making drawing too much attention to himself, and their, in the midst of the branches he grappled onto the branches and watched more of the 'girls' kind emerge. Nearly his entire life he had lived here, and yet never had he seen them before.

Kroayla__♥

"Well, nice of you to turn up." Said one of the 'nymphs' sarcastically, fluttering over to a rock and filing her nails so that sparks of glitter fell to the ground.
"Yes, welcome back." Said another, her raised eyebrows told Kroayla that she didn't mean what she said.
I bet you've been with humans havn't you? You decietful little traitor." hissed one of the bigger faeries named Gragora. Her features were as beautiful as the next faery but her eyes were sharp and accusing.
"So what if I was." challenged Kroayla, stepping up to her full height. "I've better things to do then sit in a cave with you lot."
"It's where you belong! We all . . ." but the feirce faery didn't have time to finish, she had smelt something in the air.
All the faeries stopped dead in their tracks, noses raised to sniff the air.
"There's something here." Whispered one, looking around into the sky and sniffing.
"Get inside, INSIDE!!" Yelled Gragora, shoving her friends towards the cave. Kroayla didn't want to, she wanted to go back out again, she'd only came back to re-unite with them again. Sure, she hated them. They hated her, avery minute with them was torture, but she had to keep a connection stable. They'd be the first people she came to for help, she had no one else. After all, they were her sisters. Fellow water faeries. Reluctantly she trooped in after them, sniffing the air that had an unpleasant smell of a foreign creature.

(OOC: Come one Figment, Garra121, I left it for a bit but no-one posted!)

Tsoren was alarmed as all of the little creatures fled to safety. It was not him they feared, he was upwind of them. There was something else, something else was here. Standing up in the trees he searched around for it, but he could see nothing, though he could smell whatever it was that had scared away the creatures.
