I thought since we have one for movies, we should have one for books!
I shall start:
Secret Life of Bees
11/10
This is the second time I've read this book, and it definitely got better. I'll probably be reading it at least one more time in the span of the next 2-3 weeks...
Definitely a good book, though. But I'm not sure how much guys would like it. From the comments of the guys in my English class... _________________ ~Michelle The Bee

Ancient Pioneers - The First Americans
By: National Geographic
6/10
Not exciting, but very interesting.
...Did I really read a national geographic book?
Kill me now.
But not before you ask me anything about Mesoamerica!
No... On second thought... just kill me. _________________ ~Shaye

Leven Thumps and the Gatway to Foo-Obert Skye
10/10!
This would be the third time I've read this book, do to various reasons, but this last one is so I can read the rest in the series. Amazing book, Obert is awesome! _________________

Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret-Obert Skye(Book #2)
10/10!
Though book 1 takes the cake as the best, book 2 was still pretty amazing! Now onto book 3! _________________

The Fencing Master by Arturo Perez-Reverte
9.5/10
It was really cool. Fencing and love and political plots. Pretty awesome, if you ask me.
Maximum Ride: The Final Warning by James Patterson
8/10
I love Max, but 1 and 2 are much better than 3 and 4. I hope 5 is good...

I feel like breaking my vow (I haven't done very well in the reading department, but there's suddenly a lot going on in school. I haven't had much free time for weeks) and posting here.
Mere Anarchy by Woody Allen
11/10
Sadly this /is/ the last book I've finished. Why is that sad, I hear you ask,? Well because I finished it some three weeks ago and I haven't read much since then. But I still remember each glitter word of genius with such clarity I wonder how I lived before the wonders of Woody floated off the page and was absorbed into my mind in a process so painless it was akin to osmosis. Everytime I think about it, I feel like spring has sprung, bells have been rung, and wonderful fling has been flung, but more importantly, it makes me wish to fill my writing with strange metaphors like pepperoni on a good pizza. It makes me want to compare everything to physics. Simply put Woody Allen is a genius on screen and, maybe even more so, on paper. _________________ Remember, a velociraptor can run at 10 m/s (indoors) and it knows no fear. |

Are those good? Like, ueber good? My brother is in love with them, and my dad says they're pretty good...
Anyway, I've quite a list, here:
Twilight~Stephenie Meyer~11.5/10 ( )
New Moon~Stephenie Meyer~10/10
Eclipse~Stephenie Meyer~10.5/10
Alright, just for the record, I read these in 3 days. This is is the second time that I've read the series, and it does just keep getting better. Seriously, these books are too amazing for their own good. Though it did annoy me (in New Moon) that I was crying half of the time. No, more than half. And (in Eclipse) when Bella decides to go ahead and fall in love with Jacob. *grumble*idiot*grumble* So yeah, just thought I'd let you know how good they were--I suffered serious sleep deprivation for those books.
I also started Sense and Sensibility, and I was wondering if there were any other Jane Austen fans who've read it... _________________ ~Michelle The Bee

Yeah, the Max Ride books are awesome. Eventhough the third and fourth aren't as good as the first and second, they're still really cool.
Happy are the Oppressed by Andrew M. Greeley
8/10
I really like it, but the guy writes about the same characters every time, even when they're supposedly completely different. It was really good except for that. _________________

The Fire Within by Chris D'Lacey
Read it start to finish in around 3 hours, and not because it's a really short book, but because it was really good. It was a sad but happy book, and yes, it does have dragons, but not in the normal sense. I won't say any more on that... just to say to read it for yourselves.
All in all, a very well written book. On to it's sequels ASAP!!!

I read a lot on my trip.
The Fionavar Tapestry--Guy Gavriel Kay
10/10
I kind of have mixed feelings about these books (composed of The Summer Tree, The Wandering Fire, and The Darkest Road). There is so much grief in them, so many wrongs, many of which are never really righted. It is absolutely masterful work, however, and the ending is quite satisfactory. In the end, I respect the fact that he put all that darkness in the books, because it makes them ring truer than some other books, where there's darkness, to be sure, but everything is basically perfect again in the end. They make me angry and sad at points, but they're amazing.
Silent in the Grave--Deanna Raybourn
9/10
Awesome. It's a period mystery, which I love, and there's a side romance, of a sort.

I never really got in to mystery. I don't know why... I liked the mystery that I was forced to read, but none of it sounded very interesting by itself... I suppose I'll have to give it a try over the summer. My reading list will be getting very long.
Twilight~10/10
I think I should have probably waited a while before I read it again, but I just had a craving for some vampire romance I think you can tell that I am a little impatient when it comes to books that I really want to read. Whether they're out or not _________________ ~Michelle The Bee

Wake-Lisa McMann
8/10
It was interesting, I really liked the idea but I think it could have been done better then it was in this book. It was a short story so I did finish it in one day because I wanted to know what was up with the supporting character. All in all it wasn't bad but I doubt I'd read it again. _________________

Lord of the Flies
8.5/10
It was a pretty good book. The writing is good, but it's like, way less-personal than even normal 3rd person, so that was a little annoying. It also looses points for being extremely disturbing and killing my favorite character. _________________ ~Michelle The Bee
