OMG YAY.

I'm going to see it tomorrow. Tyler promised. Again.

Actually I offered him the El Camino, but he was like, "wow. You must really want to see it. Uh, I guess I'll take you, but we ain't taking the shitmobile." and I says, "so what ARE we taking?" and he says, "the Mustang." I didn't even know he HAD a Mustang. Must be new, I suppose...

**edit**

I saw it! Yay! It was EPIC! Every time someone died/plot twist/etc, I leaned over to Ty and said, "didn't see that coming." He was about to punch me. xD

The funniest thing about the PoC movies is that I've loved each and every one of them, whereas everyone I know only liked the first. Pig-dogs. They're all good.

I have to say, much as I liked Jack in 3, I think he was a little outshone by Barbosa. The man's just a raving nut, how can Jack, who's just a normal nut, compete with that? Maybe it's just Barbosa's character I like better though, what with his tendency to laugh and go "arr" and even combine laughing and 'arr'ing randomly but frequently.

My experience was a little spoiled though. You know how in the second movie Elizabeth kisses Jack and handcuffs him to the ship? For the third, I was sitting next to someone who hadn't seen that bit or anything afterwards. Which was a shame, because here's the first half hour or so of the movie, for me:
-explaining that Jack died
-explaining what happened between Elizabeth and Jack
-explaining why Barbosa's back
-explaining who the witch-lady is

And it wasn't as simple as that either, because I didn't know just how much this person had missed, so I'd start explaining something, she'd ask a question, not understanding how that situation had come about in the first place, so I'd have to backtrack a bit and start again from there.

Still... very good movie.

Went and seen POTC3 today OMG it was sooooooooo good! I liked it better than Dead Mans Chest, still The Curse of the Black Pearl remains number 1 cause is was so spectacular! I watched At World End with mother dear and have decided to never go see a complicated movie with her ever again. She asked questions about everything and I mean everything, even the stuff that made sense. I agree with Wightblack about Barbosa stealing the spotlight in this one he was pretty amazing in it. I'd be happy to go see it again, maybe with someone who understod the movie then I could ask questions. Hee hee ^__^

Barbossa was frickin' awesome.

"Barbossa, marry us!"
"I'M A LITTLE BUSY AT THE MOMENT!"

xD

And "I'm captain! They be my charts!"
"That doesn't make you captain! That makes you...chart man!"

But the best quote was undoubtably:

"My peanut."

Or possibley:

"Nobody move. I dropped me brain."

Chart man. That's funny.

The peanut was funny. And Jack's clones all said weird things too. xD

"Gentlemen, I was my hands of this weirdness."

The whole "Shoot him and cut out his tongue, then shoot his tongue and cut that straggly beard of his too!" Was pretty good hee hee

Jack Sparrow: You know, for all that pirates are clever-called, we are an unimaginative lot when it comes to naming things.
Gibbs: Like?
Jack Sparrow: I once sailed with a geezer lost both his arms and part of his eye.
Gibbs: What did you call him?
Jack Sparrow: [pause] Larry.

This one had quite a bit more humor in it than the other ones I think, or maybe I just got the jokes better.

xD Larry.

Did I already mention the part in the beginning?

Sao Feng: drop your weapons or...I'll kill the man!
Barbossa: (pause) go ahead, he's not ours.

I loved that part...and Pintel and Ragetti's conversation while they were freezing to death.

Yea I had the same problem. I went to see it with someone who had never seen the second movie, so he had no clue what was going on. My favorite movie so far was the second movie, it was hilarious. But the third one was funny too. I loved the scene right before the big ship battle, where the two teams of captains are meeeting. It starts to pan across everybody, and then Davy Jones is randomly standing in a bucket. The midget shooting the giant gun was funny too.

Yeah...I told Tyler "just kick the bucket and Davy Jones will...kick the bucket!"

You know, if you literally kicked it, it would fall apart, and if it fell apart, he'd die, having "kicked the bucket."

xD I'M A RIOT!

To those of you who hope for a fourth:

Walt Disney Pictures has reportedly made tentative plans to shoot a fourth film in 2009. Johnny Depp has stated that he would love to play Jack Sparrow for another trilogy "if they had a good script." In February 2007, after filming was completed on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, screenwriter Terry Rossio said he and Ted Elliott may try to write a screenplay, though "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture — there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen."

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has indicated interest in a spin-off, but was exhausted by the trilogy's production. Gore Verbinski feels that "the big danger is diminishing the brand... it would have to be a tale worthy of telling" for him to return. If the director returned, he noted that "I would start fresh and focus on the further adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow." Keira Knightley has stated that she does not wish to continue playing her character of Elizabeth Swann as she wants to do different projects, since she has been involved in the filming since she was 17 years old.

I can see where they're coming from; they've got a really good thing going, but if they make a crappy, over-hyped fourth movie, then suddenly POTC will be one of those cult movies. o_O
