This book is friggin' awesome. Finished reading it in just a couple of hours, and I shall start re-reading again shortly...
Brilliant stuff, and I praise Naomi Novik for this, and look forward to reading the next book... Very Happy

Most annoyed. Book 4 is out everywhere but Australia. But at least I have heard that it is very good though, so when I do get it next month I will enjoy it.

And Darkwaltz, marianas, if you liked the books, why are you not at the Temeraire forums?

I could do that... but that will involve putting money in my bank account, setting up an amazon account and then working out who to do all of the ordering online stuff. And when it all comes down to it, I'd rather wait. I really am quite lazy.

GUESS WHAT???!!!! I bet lots of you already knew this, but it made my day: The Temeraire was a real British ship!!!!!!! Very Happy

We're looking at the Battle of Trafalgar in History, and the Temeraire was the ship right behind Nelson's HMS Victory at the beginning of that battle! I was so excited. Smile

Yes, yes I did know. And it was named after the French ship the Temeraire, which was captured some fifty years prior to the launching of the English ship. And there have since been several other ships by the same name too Razz
