There are a myriad of questions I could ask, but that would take forever, and I can just ask one to represent them all: What do you think about Iraq?

Because it's the hot topic and I want to know what you think.

Iraq=waste of lives and money. we NEED to get our people out of there, but Bush is too much of a stubborn moron to do it.

So... I obviously am not privy to Bush's private councils and I don't really know what the reasons for going into Iraq supposedly were. (And for those of you I may be offending, I'm sorry, these are just my opinions.)What I do know is that we are millions of dollars in debt as a country and that since we have now established that there are no weapons of mass destruction available there for us to confiscate and our soldiers are dying and killing over there for no apparent reason... Why did we have to make such a mess in the first place???!!! I think we kind of need to leave... Like ASAP!!!

I disagree with this war so badly, I can barely think of what to type.

Just get out of Iraq now, follow Britains lead, they are now seeing sense and getting their men out.

Well I hope the Sunni and the Shiites would stop killing each other and Iraq would become a stable country.

I'm sorry, but I need to inform people of this:

Sunni and Shi`its are different forms of Islam. It is not "the sunnis and the shi`its" that are causing all the problems, it's just some of them. Most Muslims are peaceful and live a peaceful life.

Sorry, I just have to point that out.

Exactly. There's a difference between "muslim" and "radical".

Me? I think this war has been pointless from day one. What did it accomplish? I mean, really? We caught Saddam Hussein? Why did we need a war to do that?

And why did we need a war that lasted AFTER we caught him?

This whole thing is a farcical collapse of government that makes me shake my head in shame at being called human. We can't settle our own petty differences without trying to nuke the f*ck out of each other. However, as more countries than usual would frown upon Bush doing that, carpet-bombing seemed to suffice. It has been a waste of time, money, military deployment, fuel, armament, and most of all, lives. Nobody had to die for anything here. There was no noble cause that caused a hero to stand at the last battleline, there was no oppressor, or oppressed. This was simply a stupid and pointless waste.

I think almost everyone (except for Bush & Blaire) is anti-war. What's the point of having a war when we could easily just stay at home and spend the money on better things. Not only have we lost tons of cash over there but we're losing troops. I'm British and thank god we've started to drag some of our lads back and I hope America do the same.
What is it with male politicians and war? Why can't we stop the madness and not fight. I'm not fully informed about the reasons but surely, nothing is worth our own troops lives.
No more blood for oil. I mean we have enough problems to sort out back home without stirring things abroad.

First off when will we learn that a democracy does not work in Iraq. The first thing we have to see is that its against the koran. Also it can only work if you don't have six different isalam groups fightiing each other. Last but not least i know we hate to see other die. But if you do see if the United States would pull out of Iraq the war would be over in six months. One muslim group is big and strong to run the country they are just waiting till we leave. This is no longer are war. It is a war of the people of Iraq and we should not be the judge.

If you have any opions on what i said i would love to talk to anyone about the.

I just wrote a gigantic paragraph and then I deleted it because I realized that nobody is going to care about what I have to say. Actually, they would care...they'd hate it. They'd probably call me stupid and what not, but basically all it was was this: I don't understand why people want to try to make everyone be their religion, because logically; nobody knows. I know there are billions of people who would kill me for saying that and say things like: "Shaye, you're ignorant." ...and then I'd look at them with the same expression that i would look at a goat that was bungie jumping...but anywho: the point is, I may be wrong. You may be wrong. We all may be wrong and it just so happens that god is a platypus and blah blah blah blah blah. We just all need to accept the fact that it is a possibility that we may be wrong if we ever want something close to peace. Because right now, ladies and gentlemen, the state the world is in is anything but peace.

Turned out this one was huge too...meh. Oh well.

That's why I don't really have a strong belief. I mean I've been raised a catholic and I got to a catholic school etc.etc. (no it's not run by nuns!)
But any religion on this planet could be true, or even one that doesn't exist yet. Like Shaye said . . . that platypus idea does sound kind of intrigueing . . and it would explain alot lol Very Happy

I totally get what your saying Shaye, and just for the record. What exact expression WOULD you give a bungee-jumping goat. Mine would be in awe Shocked

Religion on a plant.... Laughing Razz

I agree with you Shaye, and butterflii, especially about the "plant" thing...

I mean everyone tries to force their religion on other people, because they believe they are right... But just look at the movie "the village" by M. Night Shamalayn(sp) They believed that their way was right, and the way they kept people in check, was with scare tactics... The creepy monsters that lived in the woods, and the colour red... And religion has the same thing... you will go to hell if you don't believe in a certain religion... so in a sense, aren't we all doomed then? there are so many religions that say that, we will end up going to heaven for our religion, but to hell fro every other one.... how does it work out...?

The one thing i hate more than anything is when people force their religion on other people....

I went to a funeral last year, and a friend of my family came up to me and said "You know that you will not see her again if you don't believe that Christ is your saviour. If you believe that Jesus is your saviour, then you will see her in heaven."

And people need to realise, that this is the way that you chase people away, trying to scare them into something, whether or not they want to follow your beliefs.

and the last thing people want, is an ultimatum... So that will make them turn away... And we have religions trying to prove that they are better than every other religion by.... get this... killing people!

So this world is full of people trying to turn against each other, and show everyone why all the others are wrong... i think we need to be at peace with ourselves, and with the other people in the world before we worry about going to heaven... because otherwise we will all be going to hell anyway because we are being so horrible to our fellow man...

(if there is such a place, shaye Very Happy )
