I was invited the same way as daleduck1313.
I am about a quarter of the way done with The Amber Spyglass and the books are brilliant.

I finished The Golden Compass in about two days (a Sunday and a Monday). If it weren't for the rest of the world demanding my attention (because I'm cool like that), I would have read it in one sitting. Because it was amazing. And because my mom hates that I read THAT much, I'm not allowed to start book 2 and 3 until winter break. (Which is in 3 days! Yippee!)
