I think 'lean on me' was more appropriate, actually.

I suck at knowing what to say in these sort of situations. Normally I sit there and listen and lend a shoulder to cry on, but... kinda hard via the net...
So I'll do the second best thing I can. I'll DJ a song, and maybe if I can summon the ability, I'll write a song.
I present to you:
In a Sentimental Mood preformed by Duke Ellington and John Coltrane

I'm the same way, and people hate that. I just go..."um...um...*looks around awkwardly* hug?" And then they hug me, and I usually have to sit there for about twenty minutes (generally bent over; because I'm so tall...ENJOY BEING SHORT.) until I push them away and go "uh...uh...yeah. Okay. Um...sorry. *blinks* *runs off*"

-Trins too slow to see this thread was red earlier-

I'm so sorry Figs! I know what you're feeling. Last year on July 4th I got my precious baby girl Shay the kitten, she was a tiny thing and when we brought her home we had a feeling she wasn't going to make it. We took her to the doctor and found out she was not even old enough to be away from her mother, two days later she passed away. It was so horrible because I was there when she died and she was gasping for air and I don't know which one of us was dying more. But I should stop before I depress you further.

What I'm trying to say is I know how you feel and you'll always miss them but there is always another animal out there waiting for you to take them into your warm embrace. Your previous animals can never be replaced so easily but that doesn't mean there isn't enough room in your heart to make another animals life long and happy.
