Writing in haiku
In this thread we do as such
Why? Because it's fun.

First line is in five
Second is filled with seven
Third welcomes back five

To have a nice talk
Or to write new poetry
Just keep it haiku

It happens in life
That the rules must be changed
And all must be told.

When a longer verse
Is needed use a tanka
They are most alike
One just has two lines
Of five at the end.

Because of my accent
I pronounce each word too short
So all mine are wrong.

See?

Your pronunciations
Were not disruptive right there
As far as I saw.

I really can't stand haikus
because every time I do
I always screw it up.

Endless rehearsing the plays
I just want to sleep

Is not hell week over?
Now you have a chance to rest
unless I am wrong.

Yum, dog butt cookies,
I made them for my brothers,
No? More for me, then.

And now for Christmas!
My favorite time of year.
Will I get presents?

Christmas is here again
Time to pick up the guitar
And try to learn again

Christmas isn't right
Without a big christmas tree
And where is the snow?

Christmas time is not
About the presents or trees
It's about family.

Family, perhaps.
There is really only one,
The Savior, the Son.

I'm getting annoyed
At all the stupid people
Who simply can't count!

Not just one person,
It's everyone around
That just makes me mad!
