So what if I'm near 27? Why can't I play neopets anymore?

The game itself is one huge level, with probably 2 or 3 hundred quests to finish...a good portion of the them are optional, but they're usually worth it. Sometimes not. Anyway, so the basic storyline goes--

PLOT SPOLIER! OMG!

--a young lupe is sent to Meridell (Basically the place where the castle is) to deliver a package. It turns out that it's because his father wants to let him become a knight. On the way you whack at a couple thugs with a wooden sword to get them to leave a poor begger techo (lizard thing) alone. He gives you an amulet. So after a ton of chores, which includes fixed the Man-at-Arm's sword, (a blue grarrl, basically t-rex, Master Torak) returning home to get your parents to sign a form, but your idiot sister has run off into Shadowglen woods where you have to defeat this giant plant, and a bunch of other stuff. Oh yeah, and the Meerca Brothers steal your package, but an old hairy lupe helps you get it back. So then you have to do some squire chores. First you have to help the servant girl, Faun, pick up some mice critters, then clog duty, (cleaning the sewers) killing crockabeks, the equivilant of crows, and a couple other things. And then Master Torak teaches you how to fight and gives you a couple motes. So you go to sleep, and it turns out the Darkest Faerie has broken free from her stone prison at the bottom of the ocean. She is disgusted with the way the world looks, and claims she'll fix it. Then you wake up and another squire tells you you've got a big job. You've been assigned to go the Cogham village to clear out the Ixi Raiders with the help of another knight. He's too busy eating, so Old Hairy Lupe tells you you ought to go by yourself. (Way to kill of your buddy.) so you go to find the ixi's have turned Cogham into a living hell. So you chase away the Ixi Raiders, defeat their boss, return to Meridell and are made a knight. Hoorah. Then they send you to bed. You wake up and everyone's gone off to save Illusen's Glade, but you've been left behind because "you've had enough hero work for one day". Even Old Hairy Lupe tells you so. Then he tells you they haven't come back yet, so he tries to off you again by sending you after the missing knights. You go to Illusen's Glade, break open the wooden cages the others are kept in, and then go up into Illusen's tree house. The Werelupe King is...eating her, I think, and then he sets his buddy Gnarfas on you. Oh, how bad can Gnarfas be, you think? He's only the second boss--holy crap he's twice your size and has four damn arms. Cheater. Then Old Hairy Lupe shows up out of nowhere, and the Werelupe King kills him with a boomerang. Uh...then you beat Gnarfas, and Illusen knocks you out of her treehouse. She's been possesed. -_-' Now you have to get out of there quickly, or the evil dragon things that Dave the Barbarian has got one just like will kill you. Then you get to the castle, and the Darkest Faerie has gotten there first. She has her sisters shoot at you and knock down half the castle, and the servant Faun helps you through the drain pipe. The three sisters are disgusted, so they just 'flush him out'. So you're catapulted into the ocean, and then it moves onto ACT 2. This is much shorter. Roberta, a cat-fish-bird thing, (I dunno. Acara.) is flying to Faerieland with her mentor dude, a purple gelert. I don't remember his name. So you're there waiting to talk to the Fyora about the purple clouds you've been seeing. Oh yeah, you're also the king of Brightvale's daughter. (The king of Brightvale wears pants. The Meridell king doesn't. O_o) So the gelert dude makes you go out and find a stick, a rock and something to power your wand with so you can practice magic. You shoot at a book for a little bit, then you go tell Fyora about the problem you have with purple clouds. Then she sends you to bed. You wake up, and of course, everyone has been possesed. The Darkest Faerie bounds and gags Fyora, while you're totally oblivious to it all, until gelert dude goes nuts on you. -_-' so you're escaping, and you hear someone calling you for help. You find out it's the aisha who asked you to save her little Harris from a tree earlier. So you go into the basement, start up the clockworks, and make one hell of a racket. The Darkest Faerie, who is having a barbeque or something, gets ticked off and goes to fix it. You go and save the aisha, and she gives you an amulet. Oh wait, she did that earlier. After you saved her kitty. Harris. So you escape through the ETERNAL STAIRCASE, and your uni (basically unicorn) saves you, but you fall off. And let me tell you, if I fell from that height, I'd probably be dead. No, I'd be worse than dead. You wouldn't even be able to tell what had just happen, you'd assume some giant animal puked there. Not Roberta. (that's her name.) She just lands ON A BEACH, and goes, "oof!" that's it. So the lupe washes up to this very same beach, and you decide to team up and kill the Darkest Faerie. You go to Brightvale, and then somehow to Bogshot. You have to kill a giant snake, and the purple clouds clear up. Then you realize that the giant PURPLE evil snake was tethered to the PURPLE evil clouds, so now all you have to do is go to EVERY KINGDOM in the world, find the evil monster, and kill it. Easier said than done. So you go to each world, killing each monster, whereas the last one is in Meridell. (you can't get it, it's got an invisible wall in it or something.) There's also this little skeith merchant man who's cart will protect you from the evil monsters if you get close enough, and it's actually helpful. O_o It's about this time you realize the amulets prevent you from being possesed. Makes you wonder where the two old hobos found them. No, wait, after you defeat the Werelupe King and get Illusens amulet back, (or something) she tells you this. As if it weren't obvious. So then, you have to go to Meridell, where the Darkest Faerie apparently is. But you need FYORAS ROD to save the day. (xD I said rod. xD...Jordan said that.) the Meerca Brothers know where it is, it's in this 10 mile below earth destroyed treasure vault. And they happen to have a trap door that goes to it. Yay. But they want...hm, what do they want...with the worlds largest treasure store at their disposal, what do they want?...oh right, the Market Guilds treasure. Wait--what? You earn that for saving Market Town. It's this little dinky box. So you're like, "whatever, take it, see if I care." and they're like, "*_* shiny! I love it! Okay, suckers, go ahead. Hehe, we really scammed those losers, didn't we, Heermedjet?" as you slide down into a secret treasure store that's 10,000 times larger than the stupid box. So you have to get through this annoying endless maze only to find out there's a giant skeleton draik guarding Fyora's rod. I'm guessing he was a LIVING guardian at one point, they just forgot to feed him. So you beat him, get the rod, and get back to Faerieland somehow. To give Fyora the rod, right, so she can defeat the Darkest Faerie. But the Darkest Faerie is pretending to be Fyora, so she takes the rod and kicks you through this portal. You end up in 'Altador', a world that was thought to be destroyed. (on the site, you just have to look on the other side of the map. Nobody ever thought of that, did they?) so the Darkest Faerie's apparently been evil there, too. So there's four 'districts', and each is owned by a hero of Altador. You have to save each district by finding the hero, who's hiding underground or something. So after another million tedious mazes, you save them all; Faun the Petpet Handler, an acara, Master Torakar the Battler, a grarrl, Gordos the Merchant, a skeith, Kelland the Quick, a techo, King Altador, a lupe, and Jerdana, an aisha. You go back through the portal, and the Darkest Faerie throws the rod at the ground and all of Faerieland starts to rumble. (This is where she yells, "IT IS DONE! Hahahaha!") and explains how she will forever be remembered as the one who dropped Faerieland on top of Meridell. Way to go, guys, put a structrually unsound floating city over another. *thumbs up* So you battle her, and if you lose, you just see a bunch of neopets running around in Meridell screaming. And then you hear the Darkest Faerie laughing. Wait a second--before the thing even started moving, there was a cutscene where everyone realizes it's going to fall on top of them--why not run BEFORE it kills you all? At least if it doesn't you can come back--DUH! So if you do defeat her, there's a cutscene where Fyora saves the kingdoms, and Roberta tosses Jerdana's amulet around the Darkest Faerie's neck and she turns to stone. Fyora thanks you, (we're in Faerieland now) and you get to talk to all your family--the gelert dude, and the lupes ma, pa and sister. Then you run to the other end of Faerieland, and the Altadorian heros are walking on air, and transform into one of your mentors--Faun the Petpet Handler turns out to be the servant girl, Faun, the techo begger is Kelland the Quick, King Altador is the Old Hairy Lupe (although if you played the game, you'd have to be braindead to not figure that out) Jerdana is the aisha who's harris you saved (again, it was quite obvious) Gordos the Merchant is the skeith who had the safty cart, and Master Torakar is Master Torak, the Man-at-Arms. Okay, you'd have to be braindead not to figure any of those out (save for Faun, you could have at least a couple cells left to not know that) but I was like O_O when I found out who they all were supposed to be...most of all Master Torak, mostly because it was so obvious (Torak-Torakar) and he was one of my favorite characters in the game...so anyway, once you're done going either O_O or "duh", you go back and talk to Fyora and ask whatever happened to the Darkest Faerie. She tells you that she's put her someplace that they'll be able to keep a closer eye on, and you see that she's now part of a fountain and little baby neopets are running around and laughing. Then the credits roll, and you go back to the last place you saved, which for me was WAAAY back in Altador. I was really hoping that it would put you back on the ground so you could have free reign of the world, you know...stress relief, see how many neopoints you can get, etc...BUT NO!

The end. xD
