Possibly one of the most touching films I've ever watched, this movie has a lot packed into it. The music is great, the plot engaging, the actors spot on, and the message moving. I am not ashamed to admit that I actually cried the first two time I saw this movie. (I saw it about 5 times in the week I had rented it) I recently saw the play and again found myself crying. I highly suggest watching the movie and, if you can, the play.

I watched it, but I didn't really see what the fuss was about, and I'm a musical freak lol. I can act out the whole freaking Sound of Music and I used to be in musicals when I was younger. It just wasn't my kind of movie. Some parts were cool, but I found it really slow in the middle and I kinda got bored and I think I might have fallen asleep for 20 min, and then everyone started dying and I spent the rest of the movie bawling lol.

Well personally, I'm in love with it ^^ I have an old forum icon (which I got from somewhere on the net) that proudly proclaimed "Real Men... Cry... During RENT". I own the DVD and the musical score... Also performed One Song Glory for my Music Extension performance last year... And know just about all the lyrics (I'm a singer, so I'm naturally a tad more enthusiastic... Not a tenor though, so the magnificent male cast tend to get a tad too high for me in some pieces)...

I'm quite sure I could continue ranting for a great deal of time, but I will say that it is certainly one of my favourite movies, and I recommend it to absolutely anyone... Truly beautiful, five thumbs up.
