I was curious to see how this would turn out, it wasn't like a "I HAVE TO SEE IT!" kind of thing, but Figgy might like it, it's about rats. (Obviously.)

There was one guy I really liked, he was just too weird, the girl was telling that dude about him, and she was like, "nobody really knows where he came from, his story changes every time you ask him about it." and then he tells a bunch of different stories, and the best one was when he goes, "I killed a man. With THIS THUMB."

It seemed a little...too easy, I guess you could say, because there was no real struggle to get anything or anywhere...the guy the rat hangs out with (whose name was Alfredo Linguini...that's a type a food. Who names their kid after food?) just owns the restaurant after the previous chef chases him around for a few minutes...when the critic comes to try out their food, they give him Ratatouille, and you don't have this "oh no, is he gonna like it?!" feeling in the pit of your stomach. Though when he reads his review at the end of the movie, I just couldn't help but think of Pommie...it was just so fancy...and then the girl that's supposed to help the Alfredo guy hates him for about four seconds, then suddenly they're going out.

Though at the beginning, when the rat is watching TV, a show about his idol, some French chef named Gusteau, you're thinking, "oh, HE'S gonna be the bad guy, he's not gonna let the rat cook, like he wants to, OMG HE DIED?!"

The animated short in the beginning, 'Lifted', was really good...it starts out there's a guy sleeping, and then this blue light picks him up and starts to lift him out the window, but his head bumps into the wall, and we see the aliens controlling the blue light, and there's millions of little switches they're supposed to push, and when he can't get the guy out, he starts rolling all over the switches, and the guy starts flying all around his house, then he reads the manual, and he's like, "OOOOH." so he tries to pull the dude out, but his butt gets stuck...

Anywho, yeah...that WAS a lot of spoilers, wasn't it...

I liked it. I saw it twice, cause my brother and sister had already got tickets to HP and decided to drag me along, but by the time we got there that was sold out so I was kinnda stuck at the movie theater and nothing else looked interesting so I went to see Ratatouille again.

Yeah, it was amusing, and the rat was cute, like when the guy lets him out of the jar (when he was supposed to throw him in the river) and the rat crawls out, and looks up at him, I was like, "OMG HE ACTS LIKE KEY!" I dunno, it seemed catlike to me.

And the scene where the head chef tries to get the Alfredo guy to tell him about the rat..."did you ever have a pet rat?" "nope." "see one on TV?" "nope." "catch one in the kitchen?" "nope. Hey, isn't food supposed to sound GOOD? I mean, like Ratatouille, it sounds like RAT, and PATOOTIE. That doesn't sound good at all." I dunno why, I thought it was amusing...

But a lot of people hated it when I chucked popcorn at the screen during the corny parts.
